HPCET Application Form 2020 - Himachal Pradesh Technical University will release the application form of HPCET 2020 on the official webiste. HPCET application form 2020 will be available in online mode only. Students seeking admission in B.Tech courses in institutes of Himachal Pradesh will have to fill HPCET 2020 application form. Students must check all the conditions of eligibility before filling the application form. The HPCET eligibility criteria 2020 contains the following conditions
Candidates must have passed or appeared in the final year of qualifying exam/ class 12 or its equivalent examination from any recognized board
Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical vocational course in class 12 or its equivalent examinations
Candidate must have secured at least 45% marks in class 12 (40% marks for candidates of reserved category)
Admission in all the participating institute will strictly be on the basis of merit list formulated from marks in HPCET 2020

How to Fill HPCET Application Form 2020
The application form of HPCET 2020 will be available in online mode only. Students have to fill the form, pay fees and submit it online. Students must note that they need not send the copy of application form to the university office. The detailed step by step procedure involved in filling application form of HPCET 2020 is as follows
Step 1- Registration : Students have to first register for HPCET 2020 before filling the application form. Students will have to enter their basic details like name, mobile phone number, email address at the time of registration. Students will also be required to create a password of their choices at this stage. This password will be used for all future login to candidate portal of HPCET 2020 application. After entering all the details, click on submit button to complete the registration procedure. Students will receive a message on their email and phone number mentioning their application number.
Step 2- Application Filling : Candidates have to fill the application form after completing the registration process. Login using the application number and password to continue with the process of HPCET application 2020.
At this stage, candidates will be required to enter the following details
Parents details including name and contact number
Address for correspondence and permanent address
Educational details including marks and school
Exam centre for appearing in exam
Candidates must be very cautious while filling out the application form as no correction is allowed after the form is submitted.
Step 3- Payment of Application Fees : Students have to pay the application fees of Rs.1500 in online mode. Application fees can be paid either by credit/debit card or net banking. The details about fee payment like payment receipt has to be kept safe till the complete admission procedure.
Step 4- Uploading Documents : Students have to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature in application form. All the scanned images must be in good quality, within the specified permissible sizes and formats. Students must note that it is compulsory to upload the images otherwise their HPCET 2020 application form will not be considered for further admission process.
Step 5- Submission of Form : After the completion of filling HPCET application form 2020, payment of fees and uploading documents, students have to submit the application form. It is advised that students verify and check all the details carefully before finally submitting the application form.
After verifying, click on “Final Submit” button to submit the HPCET 2020 application form. Download and take a print of the application form and keep it safe till the complete admission process. Students need not send the copy of application form to the office but it must be retained for any future requirements.

HPCET Admit Card 2020
The exam conducting authority will release admit card of HPCET 2020 in online mode. The admit card will be released in the official website of HPCET 2020 and will not be sent by post or any other means. Admit card will have information about the exam centre address, date and time of exam, name, roll number and photograph of candidate. Students must carry their admit card to the exam centre on the day of exam without which they will not be allowed to appear in the exam.

If you have not given HPCET exam it will be a bit hard to get into a college which gives the admissions through HPCET exam. About giving the admission without the exam it depends on the college whether it accepts admission through your class 12/graduation percentage or other option is management quota seats.

Is their any age limit in HPCET
No there is no age limit for appearing for HPCET.
Other criteria for HPCET are
Following criteria had to be met if the candidates wished to appear in the HPCET 2019 examination.
- Candidates must have passed their Class 12 th or equivalent from a recognized college or board
- Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination. 5% relaxation is given to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories
- Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as a compulsory subject along with one other – Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subjects
Important: If the aggregate percentage for candidates is coming in the fraction, in such case, the candidate must round off their percentage to the nearest percentage of marks. For example, candidates having aggregate marks in the range of 44.01% - 44.49%, it shall be rounded off to 44% and 44.50% - 44.99% shall be rounded off to 45%.
