Hello

To calculate your approximate percentile in the JEE Main exam based on a score of 50 marks , various factors like the difficulty of the exam and the performance of other candidates need to be considered.

Based on previous trends:

For a score of around 50 marks in JEE Main , the expected percentile would generally range from 75 to 85 percentile for OBC category students .

The exact percentile can vary based on the overall performance of the candidates in that particular session . You can use the JEE Main percentile calculator after the exam to get a more accurate result.

ALL THE BEST

With a 70 percentile in JEE Mains and belonging to the SC category, getting admission to top institutions like SRM, VIT, or BITS might be difficult due to higher cutoffs. However, you can still explore options at state-level or private engineering colleges that have lower cutoffs. Colleges like Maharishi Markandeshwar University or Symbiosis University might be more accessible with your percentile.

You can also look into other engineering entrance exams that may have more favorable cutoffs. It's important to research each college's cutoff trends, participate in counseling sessions, and consider alternative exams for better opportunities. While the 70 percentile might limit some top colleges, there are still options to pursue your engineering goals.

Hello there,

No, shaving your moustache a day before the JEE Mains exam will not be a problem. The photograph submitted with your application form is used primarily for identity verification . As long as the photograph resembles you and is a clear representation of your appearance at the time of the exam, there should be no issue.

However, it's always good to ensure that your face is clearly visible in your photo and matches your current appearance, especially for the exam day identity verification process. Just ensure you carry your admit card and photo ID for the exam.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

There are two points to be taken into consideration:

Choose JEE Advanced : If you qualify and can secure a good rank, it is a better and more recognized route to IISc, particularly for a competitive program like B.Sc. Mathematics.

Choose JEE Main: If your JEE Main rank is exceptional and meets IISc's competitive cutoffs, this route is also valid but slightly less advantageous compared to JEE Advanced.

Aiming for JEE Advanced is generally the better pathway to maximize your chances at IISc Bangalore.
