What is the VOCLET exam?

The West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) conducts VOCLET exam for admission into the 2nd year of diploma courses in engineering and technology of all polytechnic institutions. The full form of VOCLET is Vocational Lateral Entry Test. VOCLET is a state level entrance examination held annually. Candidates are offered admission based on their merit in the VOCLET exam.

VOCLET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to appear for the exam must meet the VOCLET eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria of VOCLET 2024 comprise education qualification, age and others. WBSCTE releases the VOCLET entrance exam 2024 eligibility criteria on the official website, webscte.co.in. Only those candidates who meet the VOCLET exam eligibility criteria can take the VOCLET exam 2024. Students can check the eligibility criteria here.

Nationality: candidate must be an Indian citizen

Age criteria: There is no age limit

Educational qualification: Candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination or equivalent examination with physics/mathematics/chemistry/computer science/electronics/information technology/biology/informatics practices/biotechnology/technical vocational subject/agriculture/engineering graphics/business studies/entrepreneurship. OR

Passed H.S. (Vocational) examination of the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development. OR

Passed 10+2 years ITI (continuous), in annual system or semester system (Appearing ITI candidates are not eligible).

VOCLET 2024 Application Process

The authorities will announce the VOCLET 2024 application form date on the official website, webscte.co.in. However, for filling out the application form candidates will need to visit sctvesd.wb.gov.in. The application form of VOCLET exam 2024 will be available in online mode only. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. The VOCLET application form 2024 process will include online registration, form filling, uploading the documents and payment of the application fee.

How to fill the VOCLET exam application form?

Follow the below-mentioned steps to fill out the VOCLET 2024 application form.

• Visit the website, sctvesd.wb.gov.in

• Click on the application form link

• Fill in the application form with all the required details and uploading of documents

• Pay the application fee of Rs.450 (₹225 for Kanyashree enrollees) through the available online options

• On successful payment, the application form will be submitted. Candidates need to print the confirmation page for future reference.

Instructions for VOCLET application form

While filling the online application form of VOCLET 2024, candidates are required to keep in mind the following important instructions.

• Fill in the application forms carefully, as no request for change in information will be entertained.

• Council is not liable for refusal of admission to a candidate by the institutes even after getting allotment for any wrong submission of information by the candidate.

• Incase of any discrepancy of information found at any stage of the admission process, the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled.

• It is to be noted that detection of anomaly in respect of admission eligibility criteria at any stage shall automatically cancel the candidature and no claim shall be entertained by the Council.

VOCLET 2024 Exam Centres

The VOCLET exam will be held simultaneously in the following districts/zones provided there are sufficient candidates in each of these districts. Candidates will be required to fill in their preference of test district while filling the application form. Applicants must indicate a second choice of ‘Zone of Examination’ along with first choice. The Council’s allocation will be final and no request for changing of the centre of examination will be entertained under any circumstances. VOCLET Exam Pattern 2024

Candidates must check the VOCLET 2024 exam pattern before starting their preparation for the entrance examination. The exam pattern of VOCLET contains total marks, exam duration, number of questions, marking scheme and more. VOCLET 2024 Syllabus

There will be five subjects in the exam- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Aptitude. • Refer to best study materials/books: Choose reliable and recommended study materials, textbooks, and reference books that align with the syllabus. Try to limit your study resources and revise them at regular intervals.

VOCLET 2024 Admit Card

The authorities will release the VOCLET 2024 admit card on the official website, webscte.co.in. Those who complete the application form will be able to download the admit card of VOCLET 2024. Candidates must print the downloaded admit card. All the important details regarding the exam venue, timings, instructions etc, will be available on the admit card. Candidates will require their application form number to download the VOCLET admit card. Under no circumstances, can a candidate enter the exam hall without the admit card and a valid photo identity card. Candidates must retain their admit cards carefully till the completion of the admission process.

VOCLET 2024 Answer Key

The exam conducting authorities will release the answer key of VOCLET on the official website itself. The VOCLET 2024 answer key will be displayed within a few days of the test. The answer key will provide the correct answers to all the questions asked in the exam. Using the VOCLET 2024 answer key candidates will be able to check their responses with the correct answers and calculate their probable scores before the official results are declared.

VOCLET 2024 Results

The exam conducting authorities will release the merit list on the official website, webscte.co.in. All the candidates who appear in the VOCLET exam will be able to check the VOCLET results to know their rank/merit. The qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the VOCLET 2024 counselling process. The council will publish a consolidated merit list as per requirements but shall not communicate the result to any individual applicant. No rank cards will be issued to the candidates individually. There is no provision for post-publication scrutiny or review and inspection of the VOCLET result.

VOCLET Counselling 2024

Following the declaration of VOCLET result, the authorities shall conduct VOCLET counselling. Only those candidates whose name appears in the merit list will be able to take part in the VOCLET 2024 counselling session. The counselling will be conducted online. Candidates will be able to download the seat allotment letter online. To download the counselling letter candidates will require their application form number. The counselling dates and the required documents will be made available on the official websites, webscte.co.in and sctvesd.wb.gov.in.
