UPSEE Counselling 2018 – Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has started the registration for round 2 of UPSEE 2018 spot counselling. The candidates have to register using their UPSEE roll number and date of birth till August 11. Allotment in the spot round will be done according to the merit of the candidates on August 13. UPSEE counselling 2018 was conducted in three rounds in online mode for candidates who qualify in the entrance exam. Candidates are considered for admissions on the basis of UPSEE scores and selected preferences. Candidates had to register for UPSEE counselling 2018, upload requisite documents, pay the fee and get their documents verified at the time of counselling. Candidates who have wrongly filled their category as Rural Weightage (RW)/Other Category/Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW), but don't have the relevant documents, such candidates need to withdraw their claim. To make the withdrawal, the candidates have to upload a self-attested affidavit. Candidates who withdraw their claims will henceforth will be considered for admission under general category.

UPSEE Counselling 2018 Spot Round
The candidates can now apply for the round 2 of UPSEE 2018 spot counselling. Candidates will be able to register using their UPSEE roll number and date of birth till August 11, 2018. Allotment will be done according to the rank. Document verification will be done at the venue and the candidates will also have to carry a demand draft of Rs. 70,000 in favour of Finance Officer, AKTU Lucknow. The following candidates will be eligible for the spot round 2:
Those candidates who have not been allotted in the previous rounds of counselling.
Candidates who have secured a rank in UPSEE 2018 but could not participate in the counselling process.
Those candidates who were allotted seats but did not confirm their admission.
- Those candidates who had registered for the round 1 of spot counselling.
UPSEE Counselling Procedure 2018
The counselling of UPSEE 2018 had the following steps. Candidates need to follow each of the steps in their respective order to successfully complete the procedure.
Step 1 – Registration, Document uploading & Payment of counselling fee
Step 2 – Document verification
Step 3 – Filling of choices
Step 4 – Seat allotment result
Step 5 – Seat Confirmation or Online willingness by the candidates
Step 6 - Physical Reporting at the college (at the end of the third round by all candidates allotted seats)

Step 1 – Registration, document uploading & Payment of counselling fee: Candidates had to register by using their UPSEE 2018 roll number, application number, name, father's name and date of birth. Once registered, candidates were required to fill the needed information and pay the specified counselling fee in online mode via debit card/ credit card or net banking. They were also required to upload the requisite documents as specified.

Step 2 – Document verification: Candidates had to upload the necessary documents and get them verified. The file size had to be 200 KB while uploading. The list of documents is given below.

After document verification, candidates will be given a One-time-password (OTP) to log in for choice filling
Step 3 - Filling of choices: Candidates had to fill in their choice of colleges and courses in the order of their priority during choice filling. Candidates had to fill as many choices as possible.
Step 4 – Seat allotment result: On the basis of choice filling, merit list and availability of seats, candidates are awarded seat in the B.Tech programme.
Step 5 – Seat Confirmation or Online willingness by the candidates: In this step, candidates will have to select three options to confirm seat allotment - Freeze, Float and Withdrawal.
Freeze – Candidates can choose to freeze their seat allotted if they are satisfied.
Float – Candidates can hold on to the seat allotted and ask for upgradation in this case.
Withdrawal – Candidates can leave the seat allotted and can choose to not participate in the further admission procedure.
Step 6 - Physical Reporting at the college: Since all the three rounds are completed, all candidates who have been allotted seats, upgraded or otherwise must report to the allotted college with their documents to complete their admission formalities.
