The authority has announced the KCET mock seat allotment for round 2 on August 25 on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. The round 1 mock allotment was announced on August 10, 2024. Candidates can check the mock seat allotment of KCET to see which institute and course they may be allotted based on their Karnataka CET score. To check the KCET 2024 mock seat allotment candidates need to provide the CET number. The final KCET seat allotment will also be released online.
The authorities have declared the final KCET 2024 seat allotment for round 1 on August 30, 2024, on the official website. The provisional KCET seat allotment for round 1 was released on August 29, 2024. The seat allotment of KCET 2024 is based on choices filled by candidates, the rank obtained in the exam, and the availability of seats. Firstly, the candidates reserved under special categories such as physically disabled, NCC, and sports categories will be allotted seats followed by the candidates of general categories.

However, if all the seats are filled in through the previous rounds of KCET 2024 seat allotment, the authorities may not conduct any further rounds.

After KCET 2024 seat allotment, candidates have to check and decide on the colleges allotted to them. If they are satisfied with the institute allotted, they can proceed with admission and if not, they can continue with the next round of KCET seat allotment. Given below are the various options that the candidates can exercise after the KCET 2024 seat allotment:
First Choice - Acceptance of Seat: In such a case where the candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted and wants to be admitted to the institute, choice 1 has to be selected. The next step in the KCET seat allotment procedure 2024 requires candidates to pay the tuition fee of the institute allotted through online mode. After that, they have to report to the institute for further admission process.
Second Choice - Acceptance and Further Participation: If the candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted through Karnataka CET counselling round 1, but still wishes to participate in the further rounds, this option has to be opted. Candidates will have to select a new course or college for further rounds during option entry. If a higher seat is allocated in the next round of KCET 2024 seat allotment, then the previously allotted seat shall be cancelled.
Third Choice - Unsatisfied and Further Participation: Candidates who are not satisfied with the seat allotted in the current round and wish to participate in the next round have to select choice 3. Such candidates are not required to make changes in the choices selected by them at the time of the KCET option entry 2024 date.
Fourth Choice - Unsatisfied and Quitting: Those candidates who are neither satisfied with the seat allotted under KCET counselling nor wish to proceed with the further rounds have to select this option. So, the seat allotted shall be cancelled and his candidature to participate in further rounds of Karnataka CET counselling shall be null.
