Goa Diploma Admission 2019 - The spot round counselling for vacant seats after three rounds will be held on July 25 from 10 am to 2 pm. Merit list of Goa Admission 2019 released final merit lists on June 21 and the provisional merit list was issued on June 20. DTE Goa is conducting Goa Diploma Admission 2019 for admission to diploma courses offered by polytechnic institutes in the state. Application form of Goa Admission 2019 has opened on May 27. Also while the application form of Goa Polytechnic, as the admission process is also known as, was available online, the candidate had to download it and then fill the hard copy of the application form only and submitted it before June 1. Among various diploma courses to which admission is offered through Goa Diploma Admission 2019 include engineering, engineering (lateral entry), pharmacy, and hotel management. Admission to these courses will be based on marks of respective qualifying exam only, and no separate entrance exam will be conducted.

Goa Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria 2019

The eligibility criteria of Goa Diploma admission 2019 will vary according to the course the candidate is applying for admission. So, they are urged to carefully go through the general as well as course-specific eligibility criteria.

Engineering

The candidate must have passed SSC (Std. Xth ) or equivalent exam with a minimum 35% aggregate marks.

Hotel Management & Catering Technology/ Modern Office Practice (MOP)

The candidate must secure at least 35% aggregate marks in HSSC (Science/Commerce/Arts/Vocational) or equivalent exam

Pharmacy

The candidate must have passed HSSC (Science) or any equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology /

Mathematics as compulsory subjects securing minimum 35% marks in aggregate


Process to determine eligibility (and also merit) of candidates who have passed the qualifying exam in grade system

In case of candidates passing the qualifying exam from CBSE or other recognized Boards, where instead of marks, grades are used, the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) would be used to determine the eligibility. As for determining the merit rank of the candidate, grades obtained by the candidate in the individual subject would be converted into corresponding marks, using the table given below.

Goa Polytechnic Application Form 2019

Depending on whether the candidate was applied for admission to the first year of diploma course or to second year (lateral entry), the application form of Goa Polytechnic 2019 will be different. Those applying for admission to the first year of diploma course have to fill Form F, while lateral entry candidates need to fill application S.

How to fill Goa Polytechnic 2019 Application Form

Application form of Goa Polytechnic 2019 was available online from May 27, which the candidate had to download and take a printout of. The application form had various sections like academic, personal, and contact details, all of which have to be filled using correct and verifiable data. The candidate, in addition, will also have to choose the course applied for admission.

Course applied for admission

The candidate will have to encircle all courses. Admission to Engineering courses will be based on SSC marks, while admission to MO, PY and HM courses will be based on HSSC marks.


Application Fee- Rs.1300


  • Goa candidates- The application fee can be paid in the account of “Directorate of Technical Education” with client code ‘DRCTORTEDU’ in any branch of HDFC Bank in the State of Goa, or any other approved modes.
  • Outside Goa Candidates- The application fee of Rs. 1300 has to be paid via Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of “Director of Technical Education” at Panaji – Goa, at any Scheduled Bank (or any other approved mode of remittance as may be notified).

Submission of application form - The duly filled Goa Polytechnic application form has to be then submitted before the scheduled date in person at notified centres, along with the Demand Draft of the application fee.


Goa Polytechnic Merit List 2019

Admission authorities have published the provisional merit list of Goa Polytechnic 2019 on June 20. Goa Polytechnic 2019 merit list for engineering courses will be prepared based on marks obtained by candidates in SSC. Meanwhile, the merit list for lateral entry will be prepared based on HSSC marks. Also, for each of these groups, category-wise merit lists will be prepared. The final merit lists of Goa Polytechnic 2019 published on June 21. Candidates who are included in the final Goa Polytechnic merit 2019 lists would be eligible to participate in the counselling process.


Inter-se merit Merit

In such cases two or more candidates score the same marks in respective qualifying exams, the inter-se merit will be decided in the following order.

Engineering and Technology

  • First, the merit list will be prepared based on aggregate marks of SSC or equivalent Class X exam.

  • If the qualifying exam marks are the same, the candidate who has a higher score in Mathematics gets a higher rank

  • If the tie is undecided, the candidate with higher rank in Science would be ranked higher

  • Finally, the deadlock will be decided considered marks in English, with the one with higher marks to be assigned higher rank.

MOP & HMCT

  • Merit list will be first prepared considering aggregate marks of HSSC (Science/Commerce/ Arts/Vocational), with one with higher aggregate to be ranked higher

  • If there is a tie, the candidate with higher marks in English gets a higher rank

  • If marks in English are the same, then aggregate marks of SSC will be considered

  • Finally, the candidate with higher marks in English in SSC gets higher rank

D. Pharm

  • Merit list will be prepared based on aggregate marks of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics in HSSC (Science) or equivalent. If two or more candidates score the same marks, then,

  • The candidate with higher marks in Mathematics /Biology will be ranked higher

  • If there is a tie, then the candidate with higher aggregate marks in HSSC will be ranked higher

  • Finally, the tie will be broken using marks of English in HSSC, with the one with higher marks ranked higher

Direct Admission to Second Year {HSSC(Science)}

  • The merit list will be prepared first using aggregate marks of HSSC (Science). If there is a tie, then

  • The candidate with higher marks in Mathematics get higher rank

  • The candidate with higher aggregate in SSC gets higher rank

  • Finally, the applicant with higher marks in English in SSC to be ranked higher

Direct Admission to Second Year {HSSC(Vocational) & ITI}

  • Merit list will be first prepared based on aggregate marks of HSSC (Vocational)/ITI). If there is a tie,

  • The candidate with higher marks in Mathematics get higher aggregate marks in SSC gets higher rank

  • The candidate with higher marks in Mathematics in SSC gets higher rank

  • Finally, the applicant with higher marks in English in SSC will be placed higher

Goa Polytechnic Counselling 2019

The first round of counselling of Goa Polytechnic 2019 will be conducted in offline mode from June 24 to 28. There will be three seat allotment rounds. Shortlisted candidates have to report for Goa Polytechnic 2019 counselling in person on the assigned day with all relevant documents, including the acknowledgement cum Admit card.


The allotment of seats will be based on the merit rank of the candidate and option picked from the available options. If such cases where a candidate reports late for Goa Polytechnic counselling, the candidate will be considered for only the seat left at that instant.


Candidates who are selected for admission during the counselling process will be offered provisional admission and will have to get their medical examinations done by Goa Medical College, Bambolim, or any other Medical Attendant who is authorised by the Directorate of Health Services. Any candidate who is found to be medically unfit will have to forfeit his/her seat.
