Hi,

In your JEE application, you have to write the application number of your c entral caste certificate because for central government admissions like JEE, you have to use details of your central caste certificate. NTA asks for the application number, which is written on the upper side of the central caste certificate.

Hope it helps!!!

Hello,

You should select the General Category during the JEE Mains application process if your community is not listed under the central list of OBCs on the National Commission for Backward Classes website. Since you can't choose "VJA" and reservation benefits are only for those listed on the central list, applying under the general category is the correct procedure.

I hope it will clear your query!!

Hello,

Yes, you need an OBC-NCL certificate if you want to claim the OBC-NCL reservation in JEE Main .

Here are the key points:

  • If you want the OBC-NCL quota, you must upload a valid OBC-NCL certificate.

  • The certificate should be issued by the government and must follow the latest format.

  • It should usually be issued on or after 1 April of the current admission year.

  • If you do not have a valid certificate, you will be treated as a General (Unreserved) candidate.

If you apply under General category, then no OBC certificate is needed.

Hope it helps !

Hello,

No, radioactivity is not included in the current JEE Main syllabus .
NTA has removed the full chapter from the Physics syllabus. This includes:

  • Alpha, beta, gamma radiations

  • Properties of these radiations

  • Radioactive decay law

  • Related formulas and concepts

So you do not need to study radioactivity for JEE Main.

Hope it helps !

Hello

Practising previous year's questions will help you score well. Semiconductor is an important topic and scoring one from the point of examination. They include concepts like Fermi levels, depletion region behaviour, rectifier frequency, and the role of Zener diodes. These are the exact types of questions that get repeated every year.

You can find the list of chapters and pyq's from each chapter by clicking here:

Hello,

If your 10th marksheet does not have your father’s name, then you don’t need to enter it from there.

Here is what you should do:

  • Use your father’s name as it appears in other official documents like Aadhaar, birth certificate, or school records (class 11/12).

  • The rule simply means: do not change the spelling or format of names that are already printed in official documents .

  • If the father’s name is not printed in the 10th marksheet, it is not a problem . Many boards only print the mother’s name.

You can safely enter your father’s name as per your other valid documents.

No issue will come in your JEE form because of this.

Hope it helps !

Hi Vejendla Pooja

NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts the JEE Main exam for science stream students who appear or have passed class 12th and want to get admission to undergraduate courses like B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) or BE (Bachelor of Engineering).

The "Enrollment Number" for the JEE Mains exam refers to the class 11th registration number, which is issued by the school. This number is compulsory for all the students who want to give the JEE Mains exam, and this number is used for verification purposes, such as academic records and cross-checking.

If you do not have this enrollment number, you should contact your school administration to get it, and without this number, you cannot register for the JEE Mains exam 2025-2026.

I hope this information helps you.

Best Wishes.
