Academic Qualification:

• For M group trade candidate must pass the Madhyamik or equivalent exam from a recognized board
• For E group trade candidates must pass class 8 from any school located in the state of West Bengal.
• ITI admitted but dropped out / discharged trainees are not eligible for admission for three consecutive years in the same ITI and one year in another ITI.

Domicile:

• Candidates must be the domicile of West Bengal.

Age Limit:

• Candidate must be 14 years.
• There is no upper age limit.

WB ITI 2026 Application Form

The application form for WB ITI 2026 admission was available online at the official website, scvtwb.in. Before starting the registration process, candidates must check the WB ITI eligibility criteria 2026. The application form of WB ITI 2026 comprises registration, form filling, uploading the documents, and payment of fees. Boy candidates have to pay Rs. 200 while girls have to pay Rs. 100 as an application fee online. Candidates must submit the WB ITI application form before the last date.

How to fill the WB ITI 2026 application form?

Below are the steps to apply for WB ITI 2026 admission.

Registration: Candidates need to register themselves in the portal first. In this process, candidates have to provide their name, father’s name, mother's name, date of birth, mobile number, and email id. Candidates must provide a valid mobile number. After the registration candidates have to verify their mobile numbers. Moreover, the information provided during registration must be the same as the 10th examination.

Filling of WB ITI application form: After the registration and verification of their mobile number candidates have to fill out the application form. In this process, candidates have to select a group of admission and provide personal details, and educational qualifications.

Fee payment: Candidates can make the WB ITI application fee payment in online mode. The payment can be made only after filling out the application form. Candidates can pay the application fee via net banking / credit card / debit card / e-wallet / UPI etc.

Uploading Document: After the payment of the application fee, candidates have to upload the documents and a scanned copy of the recent colour photograph and the required documents.

Change password: Candidates can generate new passwords of their choice.

WB ITI 2026 Merit List

The WB ITI merit list 2026 has been published. Candidates can check the WB ITI 2026 merit list online. The authority will prepare two separate merit lists for E and M groups. The M group trade merit list is prepared based on marks obtained in class 10 or equivalent boar,d while the E group trade merit list is prepared based on marks secured in the class 8 exam.

WB ITI 2026 Seat Reservation

Candidates can check the WB ITI seat reservation percentage category-wise below.

Note:

• The major 9 ITI ( Gariahat, Howrah Homes, Kalyani, Hooghly, Durgapur, Siliguri, and Women ITI, Kolkata) shall not have any district quota seat.
• 50% of the total seats are reserved for the district quota.
• 20% of seats will be reserved for IMC (Institute Management Committee) in Govt. ITIs.
• 20% of seats are reserved for candidates passed out from Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) affiliated to WBSCT & VE & SD or PBSSD.
• 20% seats are reserved for female candidates.
• 10% seats reserved for EWS
• There is no IMC quota at four women ITIs (Kolkata, Banipur, Burdwan, and Siliguri).

WB ITI 2026 Counselling

The authority will announce the WB ITI 2026 round 3 seat allotment result on August 12, 2026. Candidates need to register online using their application number and password. After logging into the web portal, candidates have to provide their choice of trade and institute as per the seats available in the particular institutes. WB ITI seat allotment results will be released online. Candidates will be allotted seats based on their rank and choice. After the allotment of the seat, the candidate has to confirm the seat and take the print of the seat confirmation slip from the website.

• Mark sheet of class 8 / class 10 or equivalent exam.
• Admit card of class 10 or equivalent for age proof
• Class 10 / Class 8 certificate (as per the group trade)
• Class 10 mark sheet for M group trade
• SC, ST, OBC, PH certificate
• Two colored passport-size recent photograph
• Aadhaar Card
• Vocational / PBSSD pass certificate (if any)
