Registration: The first step in applying to UPESEAT is registration. In this step, candidates have to enter basic details like name, date of birth, gender, nationality, mobile number, email address, course for which they are applying, and admission mode (UPESEAT/JEE Main/Class 12) in the UPES application form 2025. After entering all the details, candidates have to click on the “SEND OTP” button.
Students will receive the OTP on their mobile phone and email address which they need to enter and click on the “Next” button. The UPESEAT login credentials will be created in this step. Candidates can use the login credentials for all steps of the UPES addmission.
Academic Details in UPES application form 2025: After completing the registration part, candidates will have to provide details about their educational qualifications. Students will be required to enter class 10 and 12 subjects and marks. If applying through JEE Main, candidates will also be required to provide details of their score in JEE Main 2025.
Uploading Scanned Images: Candidates have to upload scanned images of passport-size colour photographs and signatures. The scanned image should be exactly as per the permissible size and format.
Payment of UPESEAT 2025 Registration Fees: Candidates will have to pay the application fee in online mode. Fees can be paid through credit/debit card or net banking. Students must retain a copy of UPES application form 2025 fee payment till the completion of the admission and counselling process.

Here on your doubt I want to tell you the minimum eligibility criteria for UPSC CSE is that you must have an undergraduate degree from any recognised University and the most important thing is that UPSC doesn't ask for the stream of graduation.It welcomes every candidate,doesn't matter from where and in which stream they are and completed their graduation.
So to become an IAS officer you must have to clear UPSC CSE and for that you must have an undergraduate degree from any recognised University and for that you can do whatever you want and in whichever you feel interested.
