IISER Admission 2018 - Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) has released the third allotment of IISER Admission 2018 through SCB channel. Shortlisted candidates will have to log in to the application portal to download their offer letter. Also, Candidates have to accept the offer by paying Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) by 2 pm on July 21. Candidates can participate in subsequent float rounds only if they pay the SAF within the given deadline. The answer key of the conducted test was released. The seat allotment result for KVPY candidates was published on June 14. IISER 2018 registrations through JEE Advanced, SCB and KVPY channels have ended. IISER 2018 admission is conducted for admitting candidates to 5-year BS-MS degree programmes at its seven participating institutes. Admissions are conducted through three channels - KVPY, JEE, and SCB. Candidates who applied through first two channels are eligible for direct admission, while an aptitude test was conducted for candidates opting for SCB option. Candidates could apply through any or all of the three options, but they had to fulfil the eligibility criteria of each of the channels individually. Admissions to IISER 2018 will be through three channels:
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) – Candidates were offered admission on the basis of valid KVPY fellowship.
State and Central Boards Channel (SCB) channel – Candidates opting for this channel had to appear in an aptitude test, the details of which are given below.
Joint Entrance Examination of Indian Institutes of Technology (JEE) channel – Candidates with valid JEE Advanced 2018 scores are eligible for direct admission.
- From 2018 onward a 4 year BS programme in Economic Sciences has been introduced in IISER Bhopal for students having mathematics at 10+2 level.
- The number of seats available for BS degree in Economic Sciences in IISER Bhopal is 40 for 2018.
- A maximum of 50% of the seats will be filled through KVPY and JEE channels. Remaining seats will be filled through the SCB channel based on the merit in the IISER Aptitude Test. Unfilled seats from KVPY and JEE channels will be added to the SCB channel for allotment.
- The cut-off percentage for the Scheduled Castes (SC), the Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Kashmiri Migrants (KM) candidates is 55% in (10+2) level for all boards.

The answer key of IISER Aptitude Test 2018 has been released. Using the IISER 2018 answer key, candidates will be able to calculate correctly their expected score in the aptitude test, which for the record will be conducted only for SCB candidates. The answer key is available for all the questions sets and includes the answers to all 60 questions. To count their expected mark in the test, the candidate can check their responses with those given in the answer key. The marking scheme prescribed by the admission committee must be followed when awarding marks. IISER Admit Card 2018 – For candidates opting for SCB Channel
The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research had released the IISER 2018 admit card on June 18 in online mode. To download the admit card of IISER 2018, the candidate had to enter their email ID and password. The IISER admit card 2018 contains details like the name of the candidate, roll number, allotted exam centre, time and date of the exam, and also exam instructions. Before downloading the IISER 2018 admit card, the candidate had to ensure that the details mentioned in it are correct and identifiable; or else the candidate could get in touch with admission authorities.

IISER Result 2018
The result of the aptitude test, for candidates applying through SCB channel is announced in online mode. To view the result, candidates need to simply go to the result page and check their result. The result page will display the role numbers of candidates who have been offered seats. However, to download the offer letter, the candidate will have to log in to the application portal using their login credentials. Candidates who have been allotted seats can opt for float option in subsequent rounds, but for that they have to first pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF).
Candidates opting for KVPY channel need to follow the same procedure to check and download their offer letter.
The eligibility criteria of IISER 2018 may vary depending on under which channel admission is sought:
KYPY Channel: Under this category, candidates need to have a valid KYPY fellowship commencing 2018-19. In addition, candidates will have to meet the cutoff criteria that may be applicable.
JEE Channel: General Category candidates who have scored an All Inda Rank (AIR) within 10000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) in JEE Advanced 2018 can apply. In case of reserved category candidates, they need to be ranked inside the top 10000 in their respective categories.
SCB Channel: Students seeking admission under this channel must meet the minimum cutoff percentage prescribed by IISER for their respective state boards. Additionally, candidates will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test to be considered for admission.
Indian nationals are eligible to apply for IISER admission. PIO and OCI category candidates can also apply, but like their Indian counterparts they must also meet apply through any of the three available channels and satisfy applicable eligibility criteria.
The application form of IISER 2018 is not available anymore The candidate could apply through more than one channel, but for each channel, the application form had to be filled and the application fee paid separately. Also when filling the application for a particular channel, the candidate had to ensure that he/she met the eligibility criteria prescribed for that channel.
Filling the application form of IISER Admission 2018
To fill the application form of IISER 2018, the candidate had to get registered using a valid email ID and select a password. After registering, the candidate had to log in using the log-in credentials.
The application form of IISER 2018 had fields like:

The candidate opting for SCB option also had to enter the subject-wise marks (the name of the subject accompanied by marks obtained out of total marks).
After filling in all the essential fields with authentic data, the candidate had to upload all the relevant documents and pay the application fee to finally complete the application process. The application fee had to be paid online using the secure payment gateway of the application portal. Payments made using DD or any other means were not accepted.
Candidates had to choose any or all of the three streams for admission. But to apply through multiple channels, the candidate had to fill separate application forms and also pay the corresponding application fee as well.

The counselling of IISER admission 2018 is being conducted for the candidates who have been shortlisted in their respective channels. Counselling is being conducted separately for each of the three modes of admission and there will be separate seat allotment lists as well. The allotment of seats are based on factors like the number of seats available, rank of the candidate in the merit list, and choice filling.
