No, there is no negative marking in upes entrance paper, so you can tick all the questions if you know the answer or you are making a guess it doesn’t matter. The result of this paper gives you only your rank with a tie with approximately 100 or 200 people i.e, 100 or 200 people have the same rank which you have. After that your class 12th pcm percentage plays an important role here because who has the highest pcm percentage among all the tie people have given the chance first to choose their interested stream. So it is a combination of your 12th hard work and exam rank which helps you to take admission in this college.
Hi student,

Hi Deo,
Thanks for contacting careers360,
UPES is very famous for its petroleum courses. So, I would suggest you B.Tech Applied Petroleum Engineering with Specialization in Upstream. It trains students in Petroleum Engineering and focuses primarily on exploration and production of Oil & Gas. You will gain a thorough knowledge of all major technical aspects in relation to the entire hydrocarbon value-chain and the strategic techno-commercial issues relevant to the domain.
Placements 2017 at UPES started at a high note with around 500 students getting offers from top-notch companies like-Accenture, IBM, Dell R&D, Nestle, L&T Infotech, Maruti, Philips Carbon Black, Reliance Industries, Tata Technologies, GATI KWE etc. to name a few.
The university’s objective is to develop competent technocrats, professionals, and managers who are ready to join the core industries.
Good Luck!
Dear deo,

Hello Akarsh Agrawal. Thanks for contacting Careers360 and we hope we will be able to answer your query.
I am afraid to say that you cannot change your exam mode to Online mode now. In fact, I should say that this mode should have been defined first itself. This is because most of the exams that bring in both online and offline modes for the students always specify first itself that this mode cannot be changed afterwards.
