I had given jee mains 1st attempt and have already cleared cutoff for jee advanced but I have also registered for second attempt.If I dont give the second attempt then will it cause any problem?

Vibhu P 22nd Jul, 2022

Hey student, firstly congratulations on clearing the cutoff for JEE Advanced 2022, a great feat for many. Anyways, coming to your second attempt, you won't really face an issue if you do not appear for it even though you have registered. But an advice would be to give it a good try as it would be a chance at improving your overall score and hence will boost up your JEE Main CRL rank. So, even though you miss performing at the Advanced you will still have a very good college in hand.

Also, if you are trying to focus only on Advanced you can miss the Mains session 2 as JEE Advanced is a bit different from Mains, requiring higher analytical skills and practical approach alongside precision. So that's both of the options and you need to choose one above the other, think wisely, all the Best!

Hi,

CBSE compartment exam 2022 will be organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education. This examination will be conducted for those students who will not clear the class 10th or 12th exam in one or two subjects. CBSE has a provision for providing three chances to clear the compartment exam.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Compartment exams admit cards for Class 10 and 12. The CBSE Class 12 compartment exams will be organised on August 23 whereas Class 10 exams from August 23 to 29.

Hope this was helpful!

Regards.

in physics, chemistry and maths i got 65 percentage and am i eligible for jee advance

Vishwathiga J 22nd Jul, 2022

Dear aspirant,

The 75% aggregate in board marks has been scraped off as a requirement this year. Hence, you are eligible to give give JEE Advanced if you have qualified JEE Mains . The qualifying percentile for General category is expected to be around 89 -90. If you qualify mains you can give advanced this year as long as you have passed class 12 board examination.

Hope this helps.

I had scored exect 75% (375/500) in boards. Can i give for jee advanced or I have to give retest to score more in boards?

Vishwathiga J 22nd Jul, 2022

Dear aspirant,

There is no requirement of getting 75 % for appearing in JEE Advanced this year and hence, you are eligible to apply for the exam.

The requirement criteria has been scraped off this year and thus, anyone who has passed the board examination is eligible to apply.

Even if it is not scrapped you will still be eligible to apply with 75% marks and hence, you don't have to worry.

Hope this helps.

i got 64.4 percentage in 12th class am i eligible for jee advance

Sevit Kar 22nd Jul, 2022

Hello,

As this year the 75% criteria is not applicable so you can surely give jee mains . But for jee advanced you need your clear the cut off of jee mains in your category.

So, if you are thinking of taking a drop so keep this mind that 75% criteria can be added to the eligibility criteria .

So, it's better if you have scored well in jee mains then take up a good NIT/IIITs through josaa and if you manage to get good marks in jee advanced then you can take admission in the IITs also. However certain conditions are considered like choices filled by the candidates, appearing of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs,toughness level of the examination.

Hello Aspirant,

See till now the official qualifying cut-offs have not been released and the qualifying cut-off percentiles are released along with final result of JEE-Main 2022 which will be released after both the sessions i.e. most probably in August '22.

But o n such percentile, being a ST candidate you have decent chances to qualify for JEE-Advance 2022 but still the cutoffs for this year have not released yet officially.

As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2022 result so for now you can get an idea from JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-offs that are enlisted below :-

==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile

==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile

==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile

Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2022 but previous year's cut-off.
