You can crack JEE mains and JEE advance after taking a drop if you get focused and be disciplined and practice on the right preparation strategy. If you have make your mind for the drop, then I would suggest you to forget about your this year's JEE mains score and focus on your target score for the next year in your mind. Hi there!
Well it is not possible to tell whether you will be eligible for JEE Advance or not, as qualifying marks are decided by considering some factors like:
1- Difficulty of exam
2- No. of students appeared in exam
3- Relative score of students
However NTA release the JEE mains cut off, but we can also get an rough idea of cut off by analyzing previous year cut off trend.
As per previous year trend, the expected JEE mains 2022 cut off for various category is on follows:
Category cut off percentile
1- OPEN 80-85
2- EWS 65-70
3- OBC 70-75
4- SC 45-50
5- ST 35-40
--------Assuming your OPEN category and considering previous year data, you have low chances to qualify for JEE Advance.

I hope this info will be useful!
Hello
If you qualified for the JEE mains despite not receiving good marks, and if you did, you scored well in the JEE advanced. Then you have a chance of getting into IITs because only seats at IIITs, NITs, GFTIs, and private universities are determined by JEE mains scores, whereas IIT seats are determined by JEE advanced scores.
In fact, I can serve as a good illustration of this scenario since I recently passed the JEE Mains and made the decision to do well in the JEE Advanced.
Thanks
Hello,
Yes ,you will definitely clear the cut off required jee advanced but it's of no use because the score is very less even if i consider category reservation because the cut offs are higher.
In NITs you need to score atleast 80-90 percentile in order get NITs like Jamshedpur, durgapur, Silchar, allahabad, rourkela, Calicut, Trichy,warangal surathkal.
I would suggest you to focus on your 2nd attempt of jee mains and try to score as much as possible even though you have qualified jee mains as per the previous year trends.
If you want to know about the colleges you can get , you can have a look at the link given below -

Hello aspirant,
No you do not need to make new category certificate.You can upload same certificate as you uploaded in jee mains.
Hope you understand
Thank you and all the best
Let's take an example. If a student gave their boards of class 12th in 2021 and also qualifies to jee advanced in 2021 then he/she can give the jee advanced in the next year if they want to improve their score or marks so this person is eligible to sit for jee advanced in 2022.
At the same time if another student gave their boards in 2021, cleared the cutoff of JEE main but didn't sit for to give JEE advanced and directly he sit for jee advanced 2022 and didn't score well.
If this person wants to sit for JEE advanced in 2023 then he isn't eligible.
JEE advanced releases the eligibility criteria every year but these are the main rules.
Note:- students of batch 2020 are given relaxation, they can appear in JEE Advanced 2022.
Hello Aspirant,
As per your marks your percentile will be 70 to 84.
Minimum percentile in JEE Mains to qualify in JEE Advance :
For General category 87
For EWS category 66
For OBC NCL category 68
For Sc category 46
For ST category 34
If you are a genearl category candidate you will not qualify for JEE Advance
Hope this information helps you.
Best Wishes!
See till now the official qualifying cut-offs have not been released and the qualifying cut-off percentiles are released along with final result of JEE-Main 2022 which will be released after both the sessions i.e. most probably in August '22.
But o n such percentile, being an OBC-NCL candidate you have very good chances to qualify for JEE-Advance 2022 but still the cutoffs for this year have not released yet officially.
As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2022 result so for now you can get an idea from JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-offs that are enlisted below :-
==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile
==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile
==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile
Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2022 but previous year's cut-off.
You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

Good Luck!!
See if you have passed your class 12th examinations in 2022 then you are eligible for JEE-Advance 2022 and 2023 provided that you qualify JEE-Main 2022 and 2023 respectively.
So you can definitely appear for JEE-Advance 2023 if you qualify JEE-Main 2023 but note that after that you will have no more attempts left for JEE-Advance but you will be having one attempt of JEE-Main i.e. in 2024.
This is because maximum attempts allowed for JEE-Advance is 2 in 2 consecutive years, first attempt in the passing year of class 12th or equivalent examination and second attempt in very next year to that. Similarly for JEE-Main maximum attempts allowed for JEE-Main is 3 in 3 consecutive years, first attempt in the passing year of class 12th or equivalent examination and second attempt in very next year to that followed by third attempt in third year.
