I am an OBC NCL candidate and have cleared cutoff from my category percentile. But I am not in top 250000 rank so can I write JEE advance? As written on website only top 250000 students can give exam. Please answer me

Piyush 9th Aug, 2022

Hello aspirant,

It does not matter whether you have secured a rank of below 2.5 lakhs in JEE mains, what matters is whether you have cleared the JEE mains 2022 cutoff for your category or not, in this case OBC. If you have cleared the cutoff for OBC category, then you are eligible to give JEE advance exam 2022.

EWS - 63.1114141

OBC - 67.0090297

SC - 43.0820954

ST -26.7771328

Further, to know more about the JEE advance eligibility criteria, you can follow these two below mentioned links :

I hope that this will help.

I am a student who appeared for jeemains 2022 and I got 93.3%. Now while applying for jeeadvanced I realised there is a spelling mistake in my name. And during my registration for jeeadvanced I couldnt correct my name. And I wrote an email but there is no reply as of now. So how can I correct it?

anushkasrivastava073 9th Aug, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

After the JEE Mains application, candidates were given a chance to edit their previously entered credentials. However, now that you have not corrected your name that time, all you can do is, wait for their reply. You have to wait for the correction window to open. However, they have already released their schedule on their official website and no such information is mentioned about application correction. You have to wait and hope for the best. Keep studying.

Sir/Madam, How many marks for st category in jee advance to get iit.... And how many marks i should in each subject.

Sanjana 9th Aug, 2022

Hey aspirant

When we look into previous year rank vs mark an sc candidate can secure seat in any iit with 80+ marks. There are total 2290 seats for sc in iit. You need to get a rank within range of 2500-3000. This is based on previous year pattern this could change depending on level of exam. I have cleared the category cut-off with the category rank being around 38K whereas the category rank required for eligibility for jee advanced is shown to be 37.5K....should I register for jee advanced since i have cleared the cut-off required ?

thakurvishesh1 28th Aug, 2022

It does not depend on whether you think that you have qualified the examination or not. When you go to register for the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced registration page, then they automatically ask for your JEE Main details and depending on that they tell you that whether you are eligible for JEE Advanced or not, thus answering your query. So, go to the JEE Advanced registration page and you'll be answered automatically.

You can also use our college predictor to see your chances in all the colleges:

You don't need to worry about this because in order to avoid a case like this , there's a combined counselling for admission in NIT and iits etc i. e josaa counselling.

So you don't need to separately take part in any counselling in order to get admission in NIT , you need to wait for Josaa counselling which will start only after the declaration of JEE advanced through which admission in IITs provided.

Josaa counselling is combined counselling for

  • admission in IITs through jee advanced rank

  • and NITs, IIITs& GFTIs through jee main rank .

------------------------------) Mock seat allotment:- To help you understand the colleges in which you have chances ,mock seat allotment is conducted before final choice filling and locking

------------------------------) Seat allotment result:- then on the basis of your rank seat allotment takes place.

------------------------------) seat acceptance fees payment :- If you get a seat then you have to download seat allotment letter and then you have to pay seat acceptance fees

------------------------------) Reporting the report centre :- You have to report to the reporting centre to get your documents verified. You need to carry your original documents along with 2 copies of xerox of each.

------------------------------) admission confirmation :- Finally you have to report to the alloted college  by at least the time of last date of reporting for the college mentioned on seat allotment letter for admission confirmation.

And .
