There is no age limit to appear for GATE. You can appear for GATE even if you have completed Master in Business Administration. To appear for GATE the eligibility criteria is as follows

Yes, without GATE score you can still get admission to M.Tech. To get admission without GATE score you must appear for the state level of University level entrance examination and qualify in it in order to participate in the counselling. States such as Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka conducts state level entrance examination for admission to M.E/M.Tech courses. Institutes like BITS, JNU, SRM conducts institute level entrance examination, you may appear for such entrance examinations to secure admission. For example you would be considered for m.tech program in biological engineering in iit gandhinagar, biotechnology in iit kharagpur,Mandi , biological sciences in iit guhawati,kanpur, agricultural biotechnology in iit kharagpur and also IIT Bombay.

With the above GATE score and Rank iN CE you have decent chances of getting good NIT And IIT's. Every year, the maximum GATE 2022 cutoff for admission in NIT goes up to 800-850, the minimum cutoff stands at 350-400 . There a score range of 500 to 600 can be considered as a good performance in the GATE exam. You can the list of NITs in which you can get admission for a GATE score of 500 to 600.
