However, looking at the previous year GATE Cutoff for EE for SC Category, you have decent chances to get into any government institutes of India.

The previous year GATE EE CUtoff for SC Category student was around 20.2 and for 2022 The GATE EE Cutoff for SC category student was 20.4.

As you have secured 24 marks in gate biotechnology i would recommend you to kindly mention the all india rank so that I will be able to predict the colleges accurately.

But on a general basis I would recommend you to try for nits or iit Madras.

See for ST category the cut-off for GATE 2022 is 18.7 Mechanical Engineering branch and since you have score (-)0.28 marks so definitely you are not eligible for GATE counselling using your GATE 2022 score but as you are in 3rd year of your B.Tech right now so you can appear for GATE 2023 as well in your final year and try to get good score in it.
