NIT Warangal

NIT Calicut

NIT Surathkal

NIT Trichy

MNIT Allahabad

NIT Silchar

NIT Mizoram etc.

Please note that the above prediction is done on the basis of the last year's qualifying Cutoff in GATE XE papers. The GATE Cutoff bound to vary every year and is different for different category Students,

gate score 496 EE gen cat any chance for iit or good nits?

Anurag Khanna 26th Mar, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

Very low chances for any of the NITs/IITs

If we go through the analysis of previous year's GATE score Vs College allotment than according to the GATE 2022 score mentioned by you in the query you have very less chances of getting any of the IITs or NITs with Electrical Engineering specialization because this branch is offered in very less number of NITs and for them too cut-offs are quite high for General category so I would recommend you to go with some private colleges because some private colleges also accept admission on the basis of GATE score.

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
