TNEA Reservation Criteria 2026 - DoTE, Tamil Nadu, will release the TNEA 2026 reservation criteria along with its information brochure. It will consist of the percentage seats allocated to OC, BC, BCM, MBC & DNC, SC, SCA and ST. Aspirants can get B.Tech / BArch admission through TNEA 2026. Candidates are advised to check the reservation categories and their seat intake before applying for the TNEA 2026 counselling.

Visual Impairment | Candidates with a low vision of 40% or above will be eligible to claim reservations. “Blindness” means a person having a total absence of sight or visual acuity less than 3/60 or less than 10/200. "Low-vision" means visual acuity not exceeding 6/18 or less than 20/60 up to 3/60 or up to 10/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with the best possible corrections |
Hearing Impairment | Candidates with 40 db and above hearing ability only in the better ear with a speech discrimination score of 50 % and above will only be eligible to claim reservation. "Deaf" means persons having 70 DB hearing loss in speech frequencies in both ears. "Hard of hearing" means a person having 60 DB to 70 DB hearing loss in speech frequencies in both ears. |
Locomotor Disability | Candidates with permanent physical impairment of 40 % and above will be eligible for the reservation |
