Previous Year’s JEE Main Analysis by Allen Kota

According to the previous year’s analysis of JEE Main by Allen Kota, the examination was of moderate difficulty. The mathematics section had more difficult questions while Chemistry consisted of easy and moderately difficult questions. Physics had more easy questions and the remaining were of moderate difficulty.

JEE Main 2022 Analysis for Feb 26 by Allen Kota

Candidates can check the subject-wise JEE Main 2022 Feb 26 analysis by Allen Kota here.

Chemistry

In the morning shift on the last day of JEE Main (February Attempt), students found the paper difficult due to the more theoretical part in the Chemistry paper. More weightage was given to the characterization of organic compounds, lanthanides, and separation techniques.

Kinetics, Equilibrium, Thermo Liquid Solution in Physical Chemistry, and a question came from Significant Digit. In Inorganic, two questions related to hydrogen bonding were also asked related to reactions of ionization energies, salvage process, carbonate complex, and dichromate.

The evening shift paper was comparatively easy. In section 1, there were more questions of organic and inorganic. Easy questions came from electrochemistry and surface chemistry in physical chemistry.

Physics

On the last day of JEE Main exam, both Physics papers were easy.

In the morning shift, except for one question from the capacitor, the other questions were average. Chapterwise, both papers were balanced.

Mainly JEE Main Topic like Semiconductor Communication, Logic Gates was covered. The coverage of gravitation and mechanics was also good. At the same time, less weightage was given to optics and electrostatics.

Maths

Maths paper in the morning shift was easy. Easy and formula-based questions came from topics such as Determinants, Quadratic Matrix, and 3D Vector.

Students’ math skills were also tested by questions like Integration AP & CA Limit, Continuity, and Relations. Maths paper was quite difficult in the evening shift. Due to high calculus, students took more time to solve the paper. Apart from this, the weightage of the 12th class syllabus was more in the evening shift.

JEE Main 2022 Analysis for Feb 25 by Allen Kota

Candidates can check the subject-wise JEE Main 2022 Feb 25 analysis by Allen Kota here.

Chemistry

The paper was completely NCERT based like the first day. Most questions in physical chemistry were numerically based. Whereas organic and inorganic chemistry was more in the initial 20 objective questions.

During the morning and evening shifts, seven questions were from Physical Chemistry in the Numerical section. Inorganic chemistry covered MOT, Born Heber Cycle, Coordination compound, Magnetic Moment, Lanthanide, and Environment. Whereas in organic chemistry, questions were related to aromatic, lactose, and linkages in biomolecules and properties of Buena-I and Buena-G. Similarly, in physical chemistry, solubility in ionic equilibrium, whereas rate concept through quantum mechanics and kinetics graphs cam in the paper.

The volume came in a question of hypo and dichromate, in which the calculation was time-consuming.

Physics

On the second day in the JEE Main Examination, except for one or two lengthy questions in the Physics paper, the remaining questions were standard. In the paper, the weightage of the 12th class syllabus was more than that of the 11th class syllabus. As usual, 50 percent of Formula-based questions came in the paper. Those students who practiced the previous year’s JEE Main papers got the advantage. Some of the questions asked for the Topic of Electromagnetism and Gravitation were of the standard level. While questions from the topic diode and PUC were of easy level.

The number of calculation-based questions was more in the morning shift, but the students did not face much trouble solving them. At the same time, the evening shift paper was easy. There was doubt in the options of one question of rotational motion. Similarly, a semiconductor question was based on facts that are not in the NCERT syllabus.

Maths

Due to calculations in Maths, the students found the paper lengthy. In such a situation, students consumed more time on maths papers. In the Maths paper, questions came from all the topics of the overall syllabus. More questions came from Vector 3D, Matrix Determination, Integration Probability. Apart from this, Mathematical Reasoning and Height and Distance were also covered. Like Wednesday, no questions came from Mathematical Statistics on Thursday. Overall, the Maths paper was similar to the Maths paper of JEE Main held last year. Some questions came directly from the previous year’s JEE Main paper.

JEE Main 2022: Chemistry Paper Analysis

The Chemistry paper was NCERT based. Some old questions from previous JEE Advanced papers were also asked. The number of questions asked from Physical Chemistry was limited. More questions were asked from organic and inorganic chemistry. The questions covered metallurgy, biomolecules, oxidation in organic reactions, polymers, borax bead test, coordination number in BCC, and anaerobic, oxidized gas of matter in environmental chemistry. Apart from these, questions were also asked about Kinetics, Chemical Equilibrium, and Biomolecules.

JEE Main 2022: Physics Paper Analysis

Students did not face much difficulty in the Physics paper in JEE Main Examination. The paper was easier compared to previous years. The questions asked comprised an almost equal number of 11th and 12th-grade NCERT Books topics; all the chapters were given good weightage. The paper had more questions about mechanics and gravitation. Apart from this, a fair number of questions also came from friction and transistors. Some questions were theoretically based.

JEE Main 2022: Maths Paper Analysis

The paper was more calculative and lengthy than the other two subjects. Almost all the topics were covered in the JEE Main question paper. Some questions were asked directly from JEE Advanced previous years’ papers. Students’ mathematical skills were tested by examining topics like Vector 3D, Coordinate Geometry, Indefinite Integration, P&C, and Probability. Only a few questions were asked from the topics that are only present in the JEE Main syllabus.
