At 22,000 rank in SC category in JEE Main, you can get admission in Punjab Engineering College (PEC), Chandigarh, but preferably in branches other than core Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence.
Easy Cutoff Summary for SC Category (Other State) in PEC :
Computer Science Engineering (CSE): Closing rank about 3,700
Artificial Intelligence: Closing rank about 2,000
Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE): Closing rank about 5,000
Mechanical Engineering: Closing rank about 10,000
Civil Engineering: Closing rank around 10,500
Metallurgical and Materials Engineering: Closing rank around 11,500
Industrial & Production Engineering: Closing rank around 11,300
What This Means for You:
You will not be allotted CSE, AI, or ECE seats at PEC in SC category at rank 22,000.
You can be taken admission in streams such as Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgical, or Industrial Engineering.
For home state quota, cut-offs are higher, thus chances of these branches are more if you are eligible under home state.
Conclusion:
22,000 rank (SC category) is good for core branches except some of the most competitive ones like CSE and AI at PEC.
You will have to apply and attend counselling, and take all likely branch options to improve your chances.
This aspires to be in line with recent cutoff trends at PEC Chandigarh.
Hey there! Several reputable private universities and state-level engineering colleges accept candidates within the 75-80 percentile. Here are some institutions you may consider;
If you have a valid SITEEE score and want admission to Symbiosis through it, you usually don’t need to submit your JEE score card. Symbiosis accepts SITEEE scores separately for admission.
However, it’s always good to check the latest official Symbiosis admission guidelines or contact their admission office to confirm the exact documents required for your specific course.
Yes, if you met the 75% eligibility requirements and passed your board exams in math, physics, and chemistry, you can enrol in NITs as a PCMB student with math as an elective. You have a good chance of getting into an NIT if your JEE Main rank is 19,000, particularly if you apply through your home state quota or in less competitive fields like metallurgy, chemical, or civil engineering. Newer NITs or branches with less demand are likely to have easier CSE or ECE requirements than top NITs. To improve your chances of admission, take part in JoSAA counselling and make a list of several options.
All the best.
