    GATE 2027 Textile Engineering Question Paper Pattern

    In GATE Textile Engineering, students are required to answer all the questions asked in the exam. The GATE exam paper will consists of 3 types of questions MCQ, MSQ, and NAT:

    • Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ): All MCQ questions will be mandatory to answer. Each question carries 1 or 2 marks, and the candidate has to select the one correct option out of four options.

    • Multiple Select Questions (MSQ): All MSQ questions will be mandatory to answer. Each question carries 1 or 2 marks, and the candidate can select more than one correct option out of four options.

    • Numerical Answer Type (NAT): All NAT questions will be mandatory to answer. Each question carries 1 or 2 marks, and the candidate has to enter the correct answer using the virtual numeric keypad on the monitor.

    • Negative Marking: Negative marking is only in MCQ questions. For 1 mark question, 1/3 mark will be deducted and for 2 mark question, 2/3 mark will be deducted. No negative markings in MSQ and NAT questions.
