Joint Entrance Examination (Main)
Hello aspirant,
Start with NCERT in every subject for JEE Main. For physics, use H.C. Verma and D.C. Pandey; for chemistry, use R.C. Mukherjee and O.P. Tandon; and for mathematics, use R.D. Sharma or Cengage. J.D. Lee assists with inorganic chemistry, while Morrison & Boyd assists with organic chemistry. Practice chapter-by-chapter Arihant or MTG past year's papers. For efficient preparation, concentrate on clear concepts, frequent revision, and passing practice exams.
Thank you
Hello,
Generally an income certificate isn't required for the JEE Main registration, but if you want to claim the EWS quota, then you need this. You must provide the certificate, issued by a government authority, as proof of your family's income being below the specified limit for the reservation category you wish to apply under.
I hope it will clear your query!!
Yes, as JEE does accepts improvement examination scores, so you must go for it but most of the state boards have already conducted or are conducting their 2025 improvement exams. If you have already given your improvement that's fine. If you have not given improvement this year then you can take your improvement next year.
Thank You.

Hello dear aspirant,
You can absolutely prepare for JEE MAINS along with your college, as one can attempt JEE MAINS 3 times in consecutive years. Though you won't be eligible for JEE ADVANCED as only 2 attempts in consecutive years are allowed. I will also tell you to take this decision after giving your second attempt and spending a month in college.
Thank you, hope this helped.
Yes, you can prepare for and take the JEE Main exam after completing your intermediate (12th year) exams. This is a common path for students who want to dedicate a year to intensive preparation without the pressure of simultaneous board exams.
Since you belong to BC category as per your OG certificate but are a converted Christian from Scheduled Caste (serial 16A), you cannot claim SC reservation .
For JEE, reservation for OBC/BC is generally not available to converted Christians , and you can only appear under the General or General-EWS category (if your family income qualifies for EWS).
Most central scholarships for SC/OBC also do not apply to converted Christians, though some state governments provide special BC-Christian scholarships depending on the state.
Hope it helps !
For JEE Mains 2026 registration , you do not need the EWS certificate . While filling the form, you just need to select if you want to apply under the EWS category or not.
The EWS certificate is required at the time of counselling , not during registration. You can get the certificate after 1 April 2026 , and it will be valid for counselling as long as it is issued before that.
So, you can fill the form now, and get the certificate ready later for counselling.
If you want, I can explain step by step how and when to get the EWS certificate so it’s valid for JEE counselling.
You can get the JEE 2025 Syllabus from this link : JEE Main Class 12th Syllabus 2026
