Now, the expected Cutoff percentile score for OBC category is around 70-75. So, that means that you will qualify the JEE mains examination and you will be eligible for JEE advance examination. Hey Nalini,
Hope you're doing well. There are 2 things i.e. branch value and college value. It's your call whether you want to opt for good branch and lower college value or vice versa. I prefer you should go with that option which will help you get placement in the future. So I suggest you to go with good branch in any NIT because it will groom your cv and you'll get a good exposure of that particular branch and your placement will be well enough. All the best for your future!
Hi
Making prediction is difficult as cutoff depends upon various factors like :-
----------------------------) number of students/ candidates that appeared in the jee main exam,
---------------------------) jee main examination difficulty level.
---------------------------) the category you belong etc.
But yes,
When we go through previous year trend then,
Minimum percentile in jee main 2021 to qualify it to be eligible for jee advanced is given below :-
--------) general :-87.8992241 percentile

Hello,
Only practising JEE advanced last 15-year question paper thrice won't guarantee you the marks, it will only give you an idea about the toughness of the paper or will create an exam-like environment ( if you give it as a mock test). To score 170 plus in your JEE advanced the concept yours should be crystallised clear, and you should have the ability to solve new questions in the examination.
If you start solving JEE advanced questions simply by looking at their solution then you're not on the right path but if you can solve 40-50% of the paper by yourself without looking at the solution then practising 15 years of questions will be beneficial for you, all you need to rectify your mistake, proper revision and keep improving till the end.
Also, don't forget to give mocks from time to time because it is the most crucial asset to score well in the examination.
Hope it helps, all the best.
Hello Aspirant,
See till now the official qualifying cut-offs have not been released and the qualifying cut-off percentiles are released along with final result of JEE-Main 2022 which will be released after both the sessions i.e. most probably in August '22.
But o n such percentile, being a ST candidate you have very less or almost no chances to qualify for JEE-Advance 2022 but still the cutoffs for this year have not released yet officially.
As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2022 result so for now you can get an idea from JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-offs that are enlisted below :-
==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile
==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile
==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile
Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2022 but previous year's cut-off.

Hey!
Congratulations on the score. Yes, there is a very good chance you are eligible for JEE Advanced as the cutoffs for SC category has been around 48-58 percentile in previous years and there are negligible chances for the increase in cutoffs.
If you have EWS, you are qualified to jee advanced with 85.1 percentile.
You can take the JEE Advanced Exam, but your results won't be good enough to get you into a top branch or decent nit.
Don't relax after mains and prepare well for advanced; most students who do this end up getting poor grades there. Keep up the hardwork till you pass advanced.
Thank You
Hello aspirant,
The cut off for the year 2022 is not released yet. As per the last years cut off there are chances that you might be eligible for the JEE advance if you belong to SC category. But 52 is quite less percentile. If the cut off will go little up then you might loose the chance. So you are in the middle of both the conditions. Let's hope for the best. for the JEE expected percentile you can go through the article below: https://engineering.careers360.com/hi/articles/jee-main-cutoff
Thank You!
But o n such percentile, being an OBC-NCL candidate you have good chances to qualify for JEE-Advance 2022 but still the cutoffs for this year have not released yet officially.
Dear aspirant,
Looking at the previous year trends it looks like you might not qualify for JEE Advanced. If you belong to SC/ST/PWD category, yes you have a chance of qualifying the exam, otherwise, it looks quite difficult. Don't lose hope, look at what colleges accept Board exam marks and try for some other exams to get admission in a different college.
Hope this helps.
