I scored 86/180 in IAT 2019. Can I get admission in any of the seven IISERs ?

kartik_1559822604 Student Expert 9th Jun, 2019

Hello Anamitra,

Congratulations for a very good result.

IISERs  are the most renowned institution and most of the students dream to go their but only few could make it to their. Many students apply for it so it's not easy to get their.

According to me you will get one of the IISERs out of the seven though it would be difficult to get admission in the choice of yours as marks are fair enough but most of the students would be scoring near you.

Probably you will going to get a seat in IISER in the second or third round of the councilling. If you want to get a campus of your choice then it will be possible in third round of the councilling. You will get a fair chance to beg a seat in one of the IISERs.

Though it would be difficult to get a IISER of higher priority as you will most probably get a new or little lower IISER. Only if the luck is on your side then you can get a very good IISER.

Before taking admission in lower IISER think a bit about it and then only take as you will have to work very hard after getting out it to make your appearance as it would not be a much famous and good campus.

Though you will surely get a seat in any one of the IISER .

Hope this helps.

If any queries feel free to ask.

All the best!!

Regards.

Sir if 12th class cuttoff is also considered through jee advance channel I m SC candidate with 67 percent but scored 50 in jee advance .

Akshay 7th Jun, 2019
Hello

In JEE advanced admission process  12 th class marks also considered
But no need to worry for sc St students cutoffs is 65 in 12 th class  to qualify through JEE advanced or JEE mains to get any college.
So you have 67  ,and you eligible to get admission in college if you get selected .

Good luck.

Hello,I got admission in IISER Berhampur,Orissa in the second allotment. But can I hope for admission in IISER Trivandrum inthe next rounds?

KanishqVerma 14th Jul, 2019

Hello,

Yes you can definitely hope for iiser Trivandrum In the next rounds.

in the higher rounds probability of getting better colleges increases.

This happens only when there is availability of seats.

But there is no certainty for this as each year there is different scenario.

But hope for best and you can get the desired college.

Best Wishes

Can maths computer students write this exam? Or are only bio math students eligible?

Saadhvi 29th May, 2019

Hey there,

If you wanna take up pure science branches, you do not require any math. If you're interested in engineering science, you're required to have math knowledge of 11th and 12th classes.

Both mathematics and biology students can attempt the exam if they satisfy the eligibility criteria.

Hope this helped you.

Thank you and keep asking:)
