Hello,
Yes. It is possible to do M.Tech. CSE after M.SC.
For that you have to appear in GATE
MATHEMATICS which is jointly conducted
by IISc and IITs. Qualifying GATE is
requirement for seeking admission and/or
financial assistance to master's program and
direct doctoral programs. It is conducted for
23 subjects. You to appear for gate
mathematics. Its score is valid for three years
from date of announcement of the result.
After qualifying gate with good score you can
opt for branches like applied mathematics,
industrial mathematics, computer science,
data science, operational research etc. You
can also get call from ISI and TIFR if you have
very good rank.

JEE (Main) 2018 cutoff for appearing in JEE(Advanced) 2018 is:

  • General / Open Category : 74 marks
  • OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer): 45 marks
  • SC Category: 29 marks
  • ST Category: 24 marks
  • PwD (Person with Disability): -35 marks

Please note that the cutoff is just to appear in JEE(Advanced) and even if you didn’t clear the cutoff, you can still participate in JoSAA counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and SFTIs.

I am getting 83/180 in IAT. Which IISERS I can get? I belong to General Catagory.

There is no cutoff or merit list in IAT. You are just provided with the information whether you are in or out.  

With this score, you can get some of the new IISERs. Since the allotment generally gets closed at the score of 70.

However, you should also fill the old ones during the choice filling as well.

Hi Sanjay,

IISER's 3rd round result have already been out and date for submission of Seat Acceptance Fee for this round is till 23rd of July and the 4th and 5th round of the counselling round are due to take place in the fourth week of July, whhich is pretty much around 25th of July. Stay tuned and keep checking the official website regularly.

Hello aspirant,
I will explain you the process by giving examples for the year 2018/2019.
Candidates who have passed 10+2or equivalent level exam with science stream in 2018 or 2019are eligible to apply for admissions.Candidates will be admitted to IISER only through following three channels.

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) channel

Joint Entrance Examination(JEE-Advanced)of the Indian Institutes of Technology

State and Central Boards Channel (SCB)

These channels will be referred to as KVPY, JEE,and SCB, respectively.

For iisc
Candidates must have passed their class 12thor equivalent in 2018

Candidates currently in their class 12thand are likely to pass in 2019 are also eligible to apply

Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in the qualifying examination

Candidates who have studied Biology, Electronics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc. along with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible

Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks or first grade or equivalent grade in their Class 12thor equivalent examination

Entrance Examination:Candidates will be selected on the basis of any one of the following exams they qualify.

Hi ! Yes, you can get it easily on the basis of your rank and marks in gate exam. Yes, you can get it because to get in IISER the minimum Percentile required in gate examination is 95-96 percentile. And you have also got information letter which indicates you have been called for interview. So hope you understand and best of luck to you.

bs ms degree in iiser is good if you have interest in studying and in science.

You can go on to become a research fellow,a phd doctorate or even become a scientist in isro and get research and development jobs in public and private sector.

moreover studying in iiser will give you a competitive and healthy environment as students from all over the country study there(there is no home state or other state quota)

Yes. SC — 15%, ST — 7.5%, OBC-NCL — 27%. PwD — 5% (supernumerary), KM — 3 seats per IISER (supernumerary), and  EWS — up to 10% (as per Government of India rules).
