The combined total number of seats available all IISERs for BS-MS degree programme is 1481. A maximum of 50% seat will are located through KVPY and JEE advanced channels.The other 50 percentage seat is filled through SCB channel that is based on the rank of IISER aptitude test

You can write the IISER Aptitude Test only twice and that too in consecutive years. You can give it only in the year you passed your 12th board exams (1st attempt) and the year just after your 12th exams (2nd attempt). Hence you cannot write the test after two years of completion of your 12th boards. Hope it helps.

Firstly, the test is conducted offline and test comprises of 4 sections - Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics respectively. And the type of questions asked are of multiple choice questions(MCQ's). And there is negative marking scheme too for every correct answer you will be rewarded with 3 marks and for every incorrect answer your score will be deducted by -1. And the total count of the questions are 60 and these questions are divided into 4 sections respectively and the duration of the exam is 3 hours.

Actually you have to pass the 10+2 exam before sitting for the exam of IISER as they mentioned in their eligibility criteria but if you are going to give 10+2 in 2020 you are still eligible to sit for the exam.
