Any candidate who has completed the MCA is eligible to get admission in MTech. And, for this he/she can also write the GATE exam.

Specifically in civil engineering a lots of students have appeared in gate exam. So we can't predict anything by just looking into the pervious year cutoff. I think you will get a admission call from DTU by looking into previous year cutoff, but can't be assured that same trend of score will be followed this year. You can join IIEST Shibpur for M.Sc. in Mathematics by giving IIT JAM exam. Gate exam is for students who want to pursue M.tech in IIT and NITs. But for Science subjects you can join IIT and NIT through IIT JAM exam. Hope it is helpful.

First of all , let me make it clear for you that both the exams are different. One is for MBA (CAT) , and other is for M.TECH (GATE). In both the exams it totally depends upon the college and the placement that you will get. For example , If you do MBA from IIM Calcutta , and you choose consulting, if you are recruited by a top consulting firm, then there is a very higher possibility that you will get to travel the world and make a lot of money. Same with M.TECH . So , it totally depends upon the college, placements , and the stream you choose . To sum up, choose that course for which you are passionate.

Yes. After Qualifying for the GATE Mtech as a EWS Category, you will get stipend or scholarship from AICTE PG (GATE/GPAT) Scholarship.

This scholarship is meant to support the post-graduate studies of GATE/GPAT qualified students admitted to ME/ MTech/ MArch and MPharm courses in AICTE approved institutions. The selected students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 12,400.
