Hello Aspirant
A rank of 17440 in CUSAT CAT might not be high enough for the most popular courses or categories. However, it's essential to consider the following factors:
Because you belong to the OEC category, you might have a shot at a decent college, but you need to mention the college that you wish to get admitted to so that we can see their eligibility and admission procedure
Hope this helps
With 184 marks in the CUSAT CAT 2024 exam, your chances of getting admission to B.Tech programs at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) depend on the cutoff for your category (ST). Previous data indicates that the cutoff for popular branches like Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering ranges between 10,000 and 13,000 ranks for ST candidates. If your rank falls within this range, you have good chances. For less competitive branches, the cutoff is more relaxed.

Hello,
As per my view the best option available for you will be comedk because your rank is decent for Bangalore colleges and you have chances to get non core branches at decent colleges.
You have chances to get colleges like BIT Bangalore, CMR institute of technology. However some conditions are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
If you want to check out the colleges you can get through comedk ,you can take the help of the college predictor link given below -

Dear Student,
The CUSAT exam is challenging. But if you study the course well, getting good marks is not difficult. There are additional math questions on the test. Typically simple questions are asked.
The ICAR exam is a simpler, more fundamental form of test. Even with only a passing familiarity with the subject, you may select the right response by using your cunning. However, it is a lengthy exam with high standards.
Therefore, if you did well in your exams, you will secure a good rank in ICAR AIEEA too.
Good luck.
