NRI and foreign candidates have to fulfil the following VITEEE eligibility criteria 2026.
Students must have English as one of the subjects in the qualifying exam.
They should have completed 12 years of schooling with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology as compulsory subjects.
Candidates should have a minimum average of 55% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Biology or Biotechnology (PCB) in 10+2 or equivalent exams.
Students must have studied in an English-medium school.
They must have Mathematics and Physics mandatorily as two subjects at A level/Form VI/ Senior VI or its equivalent. The third subject can be either Chemistry / Computer Sciences / Electronics / Biotechnology / Biology.
Candidates should have a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in these subjects in 10+2 or equivalent.
Candidates who qualify VIT entrance exam will be eligible to participate in the VITEEE counselling. The counselling and seat allotment of VITEEE will be based on the candidate's merit in the exam, availability of seats, and choices locked by them. Students will be able to choose their preferred campus and B.Tech program during the counselling process.
Here are the details regarding documentation and certificates for specific categories in VITEEE:
Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories are required to provide their SC/ST certificates as proof of their category.
For candidates from Jammu and Kashmir and the North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura, a Certificate to Prove Nativity is mandatory.
It's important to note that failing to provide the necessary community or nativity certificate during the admission process will result in the institute's decision regarding the candidate's admission being considered final.
VIT will conclude the VITEEE 2026 registration process tentatively in the second week of April 2026. Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility conditions must fill out the VITEEE application form on the website, viteee.vit.ac.in. The application process comprises registration, form filling, uploading a photo & signature, and payment of the VITEEE registration fee. Candidates must complete the VITEEE registration before the last date.

For VITEEE, focus only on your VITEEE exam score and rank. KCET marks are irrelevant. To qualify, ensure 60% in Class 12 PCM/PCB and aim for a rank under 25,000 for good branches.

The exam can be taken at designated exam centers, and it is not necessary to write it only at the Vellore campus.
