Institutes offering admissions through JAC Delhi 2024 have a reservation policy for various categories. The JAC Delhi reservation criteria for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) are 15% and 7.5%. JEE Main qualified candidates will be eligible for admission on reserved seats as per the JAC Delhi reservation criteria for BTech.

Certificates for JAC Delhi Reservation Criteria 2024

Candidates belonging to any of the reserved categories have to prove their status of reservations with original documents issued by the authorized person. Given below are the specifications regarding the JAC Delhi 2024 reservation criteria:

  • Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Classes - Certificate issued by an approved district authority as shown below:
  • District Magistrate/ Additional Magistrate/ Deputy Commissioner/ Collector/ Additional Deputy Commissioner/ Deputy Collector/ First Class Stipendiary Magistrate/ City Magistrate (Not below the rank of First Class Stipendiary Magistrate)/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate/ Taluka Magistrate/ Executive Magistrate/Extra Assistant Commissioner.
  • Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar
  • Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate and/ or his/ her family normally resides
  • Administrator/ Secretary to Administration/ Development Officer (Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands)
  • Economically Weaker Sections - Candidates not covered under the categories of SC/ ST/ OBC can avail the benefit under EWS categories. Candidates whose gross family income is Rs 8 lakh. Following are the exclusions from the category based on assets:
  • 5 acres of agricultural land and above
  • Residential flat of 1000 sq ft or above
  • Residential plot of 100 sq yard or above in notified municipalities
  • Residential plot of 200 sq yard or above in areas other than the notified municipalities

  • Entitlement card in original issued by the Record Officer of the Unit/ Regiment of Armed Personnel of the Armed Forces in case of Armed Personnel
  • Widows/ Wards/ Wives of the officers and men of Armed Forces who died or were disabled on duty (both attributable to military service) to produce certificate issued by the authorities.

  • Special Pension order and passbook indicating special pension

  • Dependency card issued by the authorities in order to relate the relationship of the candidate with the Defence personnel
  • Original Service Identity card
  • Certificate from respective CO unit in respect of serving personnel
  • Persons with Disability must produce the following candidates:
  • Certificate of physical disability issued by the competent authority by the provisions of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 in the prescribed format.
  • In the case of candidates with benchmark disability, a medical certificate issued by the Govt. Hospitals duly notified by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi/other State governments and further duly verified by the Chief Medical Officer of the concerned Government Hospital.
  • A certificate recommended by the Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for the handicapped, 9-11 Vikas Marg, Karkardooma, Delhi 110092.
  • Kashmiri Migrants need to produce the following documents:
  • Certificate issued by the concerned Deputy Commissioner of Delhi or other competent authority outside Delhi in support of the claim.
  • Senior School Passing Certificate or any other examination recognized as equivalent.
  • Mark sheet and Senior School Passing Certificate or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto.
  • Secondary School Examination or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto (showing the Date of Birth).
  • Proof of property in Kashmir of the parent of the candidate.
  • Proof of current residence such as Ration Card, Photo Identity Card issued by the Election Commissioner, Driving License, etc.
