On Question asked by student community

Yes, this route can work, provided you successfully add Mathematics as a recognized Class 12 subject and satisfy the final 2027 engineering eligibility rules.

The important issue is that Physics and Mathematics must be available as compulsory subjects for BE/ B Tech eligibility. The current MHT-CET rules require candidates for engineering to have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics along with one of the specified subjects, and candidates taking the PCM route must appear in PCM MHT-CET and obtain a non-zero score.

    Hello Student,

A two year gap after b tech is not automatically affect your career negatively, especially if you have used this time productively to prepare for GATE. Many students take one or two years to prepare for competition examinations, and employers or University generally understand this provided you can explain the gap honestly.

To strengthen your profile during this period, consider improving your technical skill, working on projects, earning relevant certification, participating in coding competition, or taking up internships, or freelance work, this activities demonstrate continuous learning and help of set the impact of career gap.

Wishing you all the very best for your GATE preparation stay focus and confident- consistent effort can make a significant difference in your next attempt!

A cut-off of 163.5 with BC category and 7.5% reservation may provide opportunities for admission to CSE or related branches in several colleges, depending on your state counselling process and previous year's cut-offs. Please mention your state, counselling authority, and whether the cut-off is based on Class 12 or an entrance examination such as TNEA or EAMCET. This information will help in suggesting suitable colleges.

    Hey there,

If you mean an engineering admission/counselling registration form, once the official registration deadline has passed, you generally cannot submit the form normally unless the authority opens a late-registration window, extends the deadline, or starts a fresh/special round. Some counselling authorities do reopen registration—for example, JCECE 2026 has a later new-candidate registration window for Round 4.

Tell me the exam/counselling name and state (e.g., AP EAPCET, TS EAMCET, JEE/JoSAA, REAP, etc.), and I can check whether you can still register.

    Thanks and all the best,

    Nischal
