Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research Aptitude Test
Hello,
There is no information regarding the sixth round of counselling for admission in IISR through State and Central Boards Channel (SCB) channel. The Fifth special round has not yet ended and will end at 11:55 P.M tonight. This round is for postponed special round candidates( dated 23-26, Nov 2020) and for the candidates who float from the previous rounds.
Hello!
Yes, you can do that. You can pass the on demand examination from NIOS if you are not staisfoed with your previous result of UP boards. This mode allows you to appear for senior secondary examination after passing your 12th to upgrade your knowledge. But you may not get a transfer and migartion certificate, so you may have to apply separately for that. You must apply in IISER SCB channel using the latest/improved 12th passing certificate and marksheet you have(i.e the NIOS board). So, there is no need to use your UP board result.
The NIOS board is recognised all over India, so you do not need to worry about it.
Hope you are clear!
Hi,
After qualifying KVPY examination, candidates need to go through a common application process for admission into IISER. No admission offer is made as such for IISERs. Candidates need to apply though application process for admission into the respective course in any of the IISERs.

yes you are eligible for the counselling in IISER through your examinations. You can defintely give the entrance exam but the only rquirement is to have 75%(genral, obc, obc-ncl) in your 12th board and 65%(sc, st, pwd).
You can visit the official website of IISER to know in detail

I am not sure of the actual count of people who have applied, but the number of applications finally accepted last year was around 20k.
Please keep in mind that this is the number of applicants who were allowed to write the exam i.e the students who fulfilled all eligibility criteria and also followed all necessary steps in the application form.
The acttual number will be around 2 lakhs.
Hope this helps!
