    GATE ranks are valid for two years. Thus if you wish to appear for this GATE 2022 then your result will be valid till 2024 and for GATE 2023 it will be valid till 2025. Thus you can wish any of the two which will have the best rank out

    Of course yes, there is no age limit for GATE examination. Your friend can surely take the GATE in 2023. And a person can apply for GATE for any number of times since there is no limit.

    see you can give gate exam on any paper apart from your graduation branch streams. candidates are eligible to apply for any of the gate paper , irrespective of their stream in engineering. so you may appear in gate exam from Computer science stream.  now coming to college admission

    There is no upper age limit to appear for GATE. A candidate can appear for GATE any number of times. Candidates who have passed Candidates graduation in engineering/technology in relevant discipline from a recognized board are eligible to apply for GATE.

    see since you have already completed your m.sc you are eligible to appear in gate exam. gate score is considered for admission to masters, phd course in India or abroad. iits offers phd admission based on gate score.
