BSc student not able to apply in GATE.

But BSc student can appear in IIT JAM (student who has completed B.Sc. degree with at least 55%) .

Future scope of BSC honors chemistry:

Yeah! You can go for the GATE 2022 without having the degree certificate as you have the provisional certificate. Also as most universities in India provide the hard copy of the degree within 2 years, so you are highly probable to get the certificate in 2022. But if you don't
