Based on the information available in GATE 2022 Information Brochure you cannot correct or change the details after submitting the application form and generated the application form in PDF format. You can only make the changes before submitting the application form. If you are facing issues while uploading your photograph ensure that you have modified the photo as per the specification. You need to upload a passport size photograph in colour of height 4.5 cm and width 3.5 cm. Your face shouldn't be covered with sunglasses, cap, coloured glasses etc. Spectacles with power are acceptable. 60-70% of the face must be covered. Photographs taken from mobile phone are not acceptable. Both ears must be visible. The photograph must be recent with white background. If these guidelines are not met you have to take another photograph and upload it.

Official their is no rule have not mentioned anything related to this but I would suggest you to keep the same look just like the picture which you have uploaded.
I suggest you go with simple look otherwise their is chance of  invaligator suspects that you are not the same person and disallow for exam.

No third year students are not eligible for jobs in PSU's only the candidates in the final year are eligible for applying jobs in PSU's. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has started the GATE 2022 registration from September 2 online at gate.iitkgp.ac.in. GATE 2022 application form last date without late fee is September 24. The exam conducting authority will conduct the GATE 2021 exam in online mode on February 5, 6, 12, and 13. 3rd year students will be eligible to give GATE exams but to get jobs you will first have to complete your graduation.

before changing your branch completely my suggestion is to go through the eligibility criteria of admission in M Tech from which you will know about the relevant degree required in that course.This may be different for all IIT’s so go thoroughly from all brochure of all the IIT’s.

Nevertheless if you are confident enough secure under AIR 100 in GATE from CS paper ,opt for M Tech in IISC Bangalore or IIT Bombay and that too if you will crack the interview.

The official dates for GATE 22 exam has not been released yet, once they are uploaded you can check it on the official website. About CS-1 and CS-2, the numbers here mean morning and forenoon shifts. Students are assigned shifts randomly and you will be informed about yours in the GATE admit card.

Attempting GATE in 3rd year will help you to know about the exam paper may be you will able or not able to attempt some questions but don't worry after giving GATE you will know more about the exam temperament. You can boost your self-confidence level and do well in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2023.

Your GATE scorecard will be valid for 3 years. There are various PSU open for recruiting mechanical engineering candidate.
