With 490 marks in NEET 2025 and belonging to the SC category, you stand a good chance of securing an MBBS seat through the 15% All India Quota (AIQ). Based on previous years’ closing scores for SC candidates in this range, you may consider these government medical colleges:
Government Medical College, Alappuzha (Kerala)
Government Medical College, Ernakulam (Kerala)
Raiganj Government Medical College (West Bengal)
Government Medical College, Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh)
Government Medical College, Baramati (Maharashtra)
Doon Medical College, Dehradun (Uttarakhand)
Government Medical College, Siddipet (Telangana)
Government Medical College, Pali (Rajasthan)
ESIC Medical College, Faridabad (Haryana)
NEIGRIHMS, Shillong (Meghalaya)
These colleges typically have SC cutoffs in the general range of 470–500 marks under AIQ. The chances are greater in newly established institutions, northeastern states, and dedicated AIQ seats.
You cannot get admission into veterinary college through AP EAMCET anymore. From 2023, veterinary seats in Andhra Pradesh are given only through NEET exam. So, your EAMCET rank of 12,000 under BCA category will not be considered for veterinary admission.
If you did not write NEET, you cannot join BVSc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) in AP. You will need to write NEET and qualify with a good score next year if you want a seat in a veterinary college.
For BCA category girls, the NEET cutoff for veterinary in Andhra Pradesh is usually around 400 to 490 marks depending on the year and number of applicants.
If you want, you can still use your EAMCET rank for other courses like BSc Agriculture, BPharm, or DPharm under BiPC stream.

With 27,222 rank in AP EAPCET BIPC stream and BC-D category, you have a good chance to get a free (convener quota) seat in Pharm.D in Andhra Pradesh.
Last year, students with ranks up to 85,000 also got Pharm.D seats in colleges like Andhra University. Since your rank is better than that, and you also belong to the BC-D category, your chances are high to get a seat in a government or private college under state quota.
You should take part in AP EAPCET counselling, choose Pharm.D as your first option, and give priority to government and reputed colleges. If Pharm.D is not available, you can also keep B.Pharm as a backup choice.
The AP EAMCET 2025 counselling for the BIPC stream started on July 7, 2025. Candidates can register and pay the counselling fee up to July 16. Certificate verification is also scheduled from July 7 to 16. Web options entry is open from July 13 to 18, and candidates can modify their choices until July 19. The Round 1 seat allotment will be released on July 22, with college reporting from July 23 to 26. Further phases will be announced based on seat availability.

With a 25935 AP EAMCET bipc rank and 1620 in the local area (SC, women, non-farmer), your chances for an AgBSc seat in SVU Tirupati are low, as cutoff ranks for SC(non-farmer) in top colleges usually close much earlier. You may get in private or other government colleges.
With a rank of 32,297 in AP EAMCET, you have a solid shot at getting a free (convener quota) seat in many decent engineering colleges, especially in branches like Civil, Mechanical, ECE, or even IT in some cases. CSE might be tough in top colleges but possible in mid-tier ones.
You can aim for places like JNTUA Anantapur, SVU Tirupati, AU College of Engineering (for non-core branches), and several good private colleges like Aditya Engineering College, Pragati, Vignan’s, and Gudlavalleru. These colleges usually have cutoffs around 25k–40k for various branches.
Your rank fits well within the safe zone for fee reimbursement too, as long as you meet the income criteria.
Hello Aspirant,
Since you got a rank of 29,565 in AP EAMCET, and belongs to BC-B girl category, you could be lucky in the case of G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College in ECE, CSE (AI & ML) or EEE branches, based on seat availability and cutoff trends. But it could be a bit crowded for core branches like CSE. Just keep an eye on the second or third rounds of counselling as fairly better opportunities will be present in these rounds.
Hello Aspirant,
Yes, you are eligible for the 15% unreserved quota in AP EAMCET (now EAPCET) as this quota is available to all the candidates from any state in India including Telangana. The SC category or local status of Telangana does not have any bearing in the eligibility of this 15% quota which is purely non-locals and to all.
