JoSAA Registration 2025 and Choice Filling - The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will conduct the JoSAA 2025 registration online. Eligible candidates will be able to complete the JoSAA registration and choice filling on the official website josaa.nic.in. Both JEE Main and JEE Advanced qualified candidates can register for JoSAA counselling. Candidates will require their JEE Main application number and password for the JoSAA registration and choice filling 2025. Only registered candidates can participate in the JoSAA counselling. The JoSAA 2025 counselling process includes steps such as registration, choice filling & locking, seat allocation and reporting to the allotted institute. JoSAA 2025 will be held for admission to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and IITs.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is responsible for seat allotment at IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. The authorities allot seats on the basis of ranks secured by candidates in JEE Main or JEE Advanced. Students who qualify JEE Main 2025 will be eligible for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs while students who qualify JEE Advanced will be eligible for admission to IITs. Candidates should ensure that they meet the specified eligibility criteria as ineligible applicants will not be offered admission.
The authority will announce the JoSAA 2025 counselling dates online on the official website josaa.nic.in. Candidates who wish to participate in the JoSAA counselling have to complete the JoSAA 2025 registration and choice filling online. JEE Main candidates have to log in using their JEE Main registration number and password while the JEE Advanced 2025 qualified aspirants have to log in using their Main registration number and Advanced password. The procedure for JoSAA registration and choice filling is as given below
JoSAA Registration - Log in to the JoSAA 2025 candidate portal using the JEE Main application number and Main/Advanced password. Upon successful login, the candidate’s details will automatically be fetched from the database of JEE Main registration. Check all the details and proceed further. Finally, change the password. All the candidates must complete their registration before the JoSAA registration last date.
JoSAA Choice filling - After registration, candidates have to begin with the JoSAA choice filling process. Candidates need to fill in choices of institutes and courses in which admission is desired. Students must note that the seat allotment will be done on the basis of JoSAA counselling 2025 choice filling. Also, candidates are advised to fill in as many choices available to them as per their ranks so as to increase their chances of getting a seat in any institute. All the choices should be made before the JoSAA choice filling last date 2025.
JoSAA Choice locking - Finally, candidates have to lock their filled choices before the last date. Choices filled but not locked before the last date will be automatically locked after the completion of time for choice locking.
JoSAA will announce the JoSAA 2025 seat allotment result online. To check the JoSAA seat allotment, candidates will have to log in to the candidate portal. Candidates can check the allotment result to know the institutes allotted to them for admission based on their rank in the entrance exam. Joint Seat Allocation Authority allots seats to the candidates through a centralized online JoSAA counselling. There will be a total of five rounds of JoSAA counselling. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of ranks in JEE Main/Advanced on the basis of choices filled by candidates by considering the reservation and JoSAA seat allotment policies. Candidates can check the status of seat allotment through the JoSAA candidate's login portal.
Candidates should ensure that all the details entered during the JoSAA registration 2025 and the choice filling process are correct. Incorrect details can lead to the cancellation/rejection of admission.
