I have got 25,678 st rank in jee mains 2025. which nit can I get. Also can I get nit jamshedpur considering st and home state quota. Also will I get any nit with 9,33,546 crl in csab counselling.

SUKRITI GUPTA 28th Apr, 2025

With an ST rank of 25,678 in JEE Mains 2025, you have a possibility of getting into some NITs, but the chances for the top NITs, especially for core branches like Computer Science, will be quite competitive. The actual cutoffs vary each year depending on the number of applicants, their performance, and the seat matrix.

Considering your ST rank and the home state quota for NIT Jamshedpur , your chances of securing a seat are better compared to the other state quota. Based on the previous year's cutoff trends, for the ST category under the home state quota at NIT Jamshedpur, the closing ranks for some branches have gone up to the 40,000s and even higher for less popular branches. Therefore, with a rank of 25,678, you might have a good chance of getting into branches like Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Production and Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or even Mechanical Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur under the ST home state quota. However, for the more sought-after branches like Computer Science or Electronics and Communication Engineering, the closing ranks for the ST home state quota are typically much lower, so the chances might be slim.

Regarding your CRL rank of 9,33,546, it is very unlikely that you will get any NIT through CSAB counselling. CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) conducts special rounds of counselling to fill the vacant seats after the regular JoSAA rounds. The ranks for admission through CSAB usually remain within a few lakhs for the general categories, and for reserved categories, they might go slightly higher, but not as high as 9 lakhs. With a CRL rank of 9,33,546, your rank is considerably outside the typical range for admissions into NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes) through CSAB.

In summary, while your ST rank of 25,678 gives you a reasonable chance of getting into NIT Jamshedpur under the ST and home state quota for some branches, your CRL rank of 9,33,546 makes it improbable to secure a seat in any NIT through CSAB counselling. It would be advisable to focus on the JoSAA counselling based on your ST category rank and explore the options available to you in NIT Jamshedpur and possibly other NITs that accept a higher ST rank for certain branches.

I hope this helps.

i got 71 percentile in jee mains crl 4 lakh and obc rank 1.5 lakh female home state delhi quota can i get ipu , igdtuw ,nsut with this .

SUKRITI GUPTA 28th Apr, 2025

With a JEE Mains CRL of 4 lakh and an OBC rank of 1.5 lakh, and being a female candidate from Delhi, your chances of getting into IPU (Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University), IGDTUW (Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women), and NSUT (Netaji Subhas University of Technology) will vary depending on the specific program and the cutoff ranks for the OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) female category under the Delhi quota.

For IPU, the cutoffs for various B.Tech programs can differ significantly. With your rank, securing a seat in the top CSE programs might be challenging, as they usually have much lower closing ranks. However, you might have possibilities in some other engineering branches or at some of the affiliated colleges of IPU. It's crucial to check the previous year's cutoff lists for the OBC Delhi female category for all the B.Tech specializations offered by IPU and its colleges to get a clearer picture.

IGDTUW is exclusively for women, which can improve your chances due to gender reservation. However, with an OBC rank of 1.5 lakh, admission to the highly sought-after CSE and IT programs might still be competitive. Looking at the historical cutoff data specifically for OBC female candidates from Delhi for IGDTUW's B.Tech programs will be essential. There might be better opportunities in some of the other engineering branches offered at IGDTUW.

NSUT, being one of the premier engineering institutions in Delhi, generally has high cutoff ranks. While you have the advantage of the home state and female quotas, your OBC rank of 1.5 lakh might make it difficult to secure a seat in the core branches like CSE. However, similar to IPU and IGDTUW, it's advisable to check the previous year's OBC Delhi female cutoff ranks for all the B.Tech programs offered at NSUT. There could be possibilities in some of the other engineering disciplines.

In conclusion, while your percentile might not be very high, the Delhi home state quota and the OBC and female reservations can play a significant role. To understand your admission prospects accurately, you should thoroughly refer to the previous year's official cutoff ranks for each of these institutions, specifically for the OBC-NCL female category under the Delhi quota, for all the B.Tech programs you are interested in. Keep an eye on the JAC Delhi counselling process, as that is the common platform for admissions to these colleges based on JEE Mains ranks.

I got 45930 ews rank in jee mains which college can I get admission?

Suganya M 24th Apr, 2025

If you have secured an EWS rank of 45930 in JEE Mains, your chances of getting into the top National Institutes of Technology (NITs) or Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) may be slightly difficult under the All India Quota, especially for popular branches like Computer Science or Electronics. However, you still have good chances in some newer NITs, IIITs, and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) depending on your preferred branch, home state quota, and category reservation.

Here are some colleges where you may have a chance for admission:

  1. Newer NITs such as NIT Mizoram, NIT Nagaland, NIT Meghalaya, NIT Puducherry, etc. – You may get lower-demand branches like Civil or Mechanical.

  2. IIITs such as IIIT Bhagalpur, IIIT Una, IIIT Kurnool, and other newer IIITs.

  3. GFTIs like Assam University Silchar, Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, or other state-level colleges that accept JEE Main scores.

Since you belong to the EWS category, you have the benefit of reservation which increases your chances. You should also apply through JoSAA counselling and select as many choices as possible during the option filling. This increases your chances of getting at least one decent college.

Extra tip : Keep an eye on spot round counselling and CSAB rounds after the main JoSAA rounds. Many students leave seats, and you may grab a better college during those rounds. Also, explore state counselling processes where your JEE rank can get you a better local college

I filled parential income 3 to 4 lakh and I filled government service of my father in jee mains form but I want I fill AKTU counselling and want to show my parential income less than a lakh so is this possible?

Prachi Kumari 24th Apr, 2025

Hello,

No, you should not give different income details in JEE Main and AKTU counselling forms. It’s important to be honest and consistent with the information you provide.

If you wrote 3 to 4 lakh for your parental income in JEE Main, you should not show less than 1 lakh in AKTU counselling . Giving wrong information can cause problems later, like cancellation of admission.

Hope it helps !

My rank in jee mains is 446126 so can I got government college

Suganya M 24th Apr, 2025

If your JEE Main rank is around 446126, getting a seat in top government colleges like NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs is highly unlikely, especially under the general category or for popular branches like Computer Science or Electronics. However, do not lose hope yet. You still have a few options depending on your category, state quota, and preferred branch .

If you belong to a reserved category like SC, ST, or OBC , or EWS, you still might have some chances in lesser competitive colleges, especially under your home state quota . For example, some state government engineering colleges in Bihar, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh accept JEE Main scores and offer seats to students with higher ranks through their state counselling process.

Another thing you can do is apply through JoSAA and CSAB counselling rounds . In CSAB special rounds , many students leave seats, and you may get lucky with leftover seats in some government-funded colleges — especially in branches like Civil Engineering, Metallurgy, or Textile Engineering.

Extra tip : Don't just focus on JEE-based admissions. Look for state-level entrance exams or even private universities that offer scholarships for students who appeared in JEE. Colleges like SRM, VIT, or Amrita might provide you partial scholarships too.

Also, consider improving your preparation and giving JEE again next year if you’re passionate about getting into a better college.

So, while chances are limited for central govt colleges at this rank, there is still a pathway — be flexible and use all the options available.

i got 11 lakh rank in jee mains suggest government college

Gregary mathew K.B 24th Apr, 2025

With an 11 lakh rank in JEE Mains, it’s quite difficult to get a seat in top-tier NITs or IIITs. However, you can still try for:

  • State-level government colleges through your state quota

  • Private colleges with government fee structure (some have lower cutoffs)

  • Colleges offering seats through CSAB (Special Round) — you might find options there with open seats.

Also, consider diploma to degree (lateral entry) after 3 years in polytechnic, or explore state CETs where competition is slightly lower.

Jee main 90.084 percentile want cse

lisa 24th Apr, 2025

A JEE Main percentile of 90.084 might make it challenging to secure Computer Science Engineering (CSE) in top-tier colleges, but it's still possible in some NITs like NIT Meghalaya, NIT Puducherry Karaikal and private institutions. With a 90 percentile, you're more likely to get into specializations like Civil, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, and Chemical Engineering.

Jee mains last cut off in this university

Suganya M 24th Apr, 2025

The JEE Main cutoff for admission varies from one university to another and also depends on several factors such as the category of the candidate (General, OBC, SC, ST, etc.), gender, and the specific branch of engineering. In Tamil Nadu, most engineering colleges accept admissions through their state-level entrance exams, but some reputed institutions do consider JEE Main scores for admission, especially under All India Quota or Management Quota.

Here are the top 5 universities in Tamil Nadu that consider JEE Main scores to some extent or are preferred by students preparing for national-level engineering exams:

1. Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) - Although admissions here are through JEE Advanced, only those who qualify JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.

2. National Institute of Technology Trichy (NIT Trichy) - NIT Trichy is one of the best NITs in India. It accepts JEE Main scores, and the cutoff varies each year. For general category students, the cutoff is usually between 5000 to 15000 rank depending on the branch. For OBC, SC, and ST categories, the cutoffs are slightly relaxed.

3. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham - Offers admission through JEE Main as well as its own entrance test. The JEE Main cutoff varies each year.

4. Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) - Primarily conducts its own exam (VITEEE) but also accepts JEE Main scores for some programs.

5. SRM Institute of Science and Technology - Similar to VIT, SRM accepts both JEE Main and SRMJEEE scores for admission.

Since cutoffs differ based on caste category, it is advisable to refer to the JoSAA or college-specific counselling portals for the exact cutoff rank for your caste and course preference.
