There are PSUs which accept GATE score.Some of the PSUs conduct their own exam.You need to apply for PSUs recruiting through GATE.And the cut off for each PSUs is different.A safe score is 55 or above marks for SC/ST categories and for general/OBC it is 65 or above.

No, the question asked in GATE and PGECET entrance examinations are not same.Altough the syllabus is more or less the same questions asked in GATE will not be asked in PGECET.The difficulty level also changes.Questions asked in PGECET are less difficult when compared to the questions asked in GATE.
