JMI B.Tech Reservation Criteria 2025 - Jamia Millia Islamia University has released the JMI B.Tech 2025 reservation criteria at jmicoe.in. Candidates seeking reservation under any category for JMI B.Tech Admission must check the JMI B.Tech 2025 reservation criteria beforehand. As per the reservation criteria of JMI B.Tech 2025 admission, 30% of seats in all the programmes are reserved for Muslim applicants. JMI B.Tech admission will be done based on JEE Main exam. Following are the key points about the JMI B.Tech reservation criteria 2025 that candidates must note-
Candidates willing to get admission under the reserved category can apply for reservation under one category only and will be required to fulfill the prescribed eligibility conditions of the program.
The relaxation in the minimum prescribed percentage of marks in the qualifying examination for admission to a program will be allowed only under one relaxation criterion.
If a candidate from the reserved category qualifies the entrance test for admission under the General category, he/she will be considered under the General category as well as the claimed reserved category. However, admission of such a candidate will be done under one category based on his/her rank in the merit list only.
The reservation rule will be applicable programme-wise only, in case several programmes are clubbed in one programme code.
The university provides the following reservations to Muslim minority students under JMI B.Tech 2025 reservation criteria-
30% of the total number of seats in each program will be reserved for Muslim applicants.
10% of the total number of seats in each program will be reserved for women applicants who are Muslims.
10% of the total number of seats in each program will be reserved for “Other Backward Classes” (OBCs) and Scheduled Tribes who are Muslims, as per the list notified by the Central Government.
It must be noted that reservations to Muslim OBCs will be applicable to Non-Creamy Layer candidates. If any seat will be vacant from the seats reserved for women Muslim applicants and Muslim OBCs then it will be transferred to the seats reserved for Muslim applicants (to 30% reserved seats).

Under the JMI B.Tech reservation criteria 2025, 5% seats will be reserved for Persons with Disabilities in each program. The following candidates are considered in Persons with Disabilities.
Blindness/low vision
Hearing impairment
Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy
Autism/ Intellectual/ specific learning/ mental illness
Multiple disabilities including deaf blindness
Muscular Dystrophy
Leprosy Cured
Dwarfism
Acid attack victim
Deaf
Hard of hearing
Speech and Language disability
Chronic Neurological conditions

Parkinson’s disease

The university provides 5% reservation of seats in all programs for internal students of Jamia who have passed their qualifying examination of the concerned programme (X or XII) from Jamia Schools as regular students.

Kashmiri Migrants-
Kashmiri Migrants will have to apply and go through the entire admission process. The admission of such candidates will be considered over and above not exceeding 5% of the total seats and not more than 2 seats in the programs offered by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
Candidates seeking admission under this category will not be required to submit a domicile certificate. But, they will have to submit a certificate supporting their claim of being Kashmiri migrants. This certificate can be obtained from the registered Divisional Commissioner of the concerned State/Union Territory.
Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir-
Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir will have to apply and go through the entire admission process. The admission of such candidates will be considered over and above not more than 2 seats in the programs offered by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
Such candidates will be required to submit a domicile certificate to support their claim.
Foreign Students Under General Category-
Foreign students can apply as regular candidates under the General category apart from applying against supernumerary seats.
Such candidates must fulfill all the eligibility requirements set for admission and also have a valid rank in the merit list.
The number of such candidates shall not exceed 10% of the regular seats.
N.S.S Volunteers-
N.S.S. Volunteers, who have attended two 10-days Special Camps and one National Integration Camp or Republic Day Camp may be provided a relaxation of 2% marks in aggregate or in the subject concerned as the case may be. The relaxation of marks shall be permissible on the production of relevant certificates duly verified by the N.S.S. Program Coordinator of the Jamia.
