JEXPO Counselling 2025 - WBSCTE will release the JEXP 2025 counselling schedule on the official website, website, sctedved.wb.gov.in. The JEXPO 2025 counselling process will begin in June 2025. The counselling process will comprise registration, choice filling, seat allotment and reporting to allotted institutes. The authority offers admission to the participating Polytechnic institutes based on merit. JEXPO merit list will be based on the marks secured in the qualifying exam. The authorities will conduct the JEXPO Counselling 2025 online.
JEXPO counselling is conducted for admission to approximately 19,000 self-financed seats in various polytechnics across the state. Candidates who are allotted seats in JEXPO 2025 counselling will have two options- either to accept the seat or opt for upgradation. The authority will conduct the JEXPO counselling online. Candidates whose names appear on the merit list have to participate in the counselling of JEXPO 2025. Below are the steps involved in the JEXPO counselling process.
Step 1: JEXPO Counselling Registration- First of all candidates have to register for JEXPO 2025 counselling by following the given steps:
Click on “New Registration”.
Enter the Enrollment number and index number.
Click “Proceed”.
An OTP will be generated and sent to the registered number of the candidate.
Enter OTP.
Check Personal Details. Make changes if required.
Create a Password.
Step 2: Student Login - In the next step, candidates have to log in by entering their enrollment number and password.
Step 3: Choice Locking - Upon successful login, follow choice locking has to be done:
Go to the choice filling section.
Select the Institute-branch combination.
Save choices. Candidates can edit their choices as many times as they want but only before the last date.
Lock the final choices.
Take a printout of your locked choices.
Step 4: Seat Allotment - JEXPO 2025 seat allotment results will be announced online. Candidates allotted seats have to submit their willingness (Accept / Upgradation). However, the upgradation of seats will not be allowed if a candidate gets his/her first prioritized seat. The JEXPO seat allotment results will also be sent to the candidates on their registered mobile numbers.
Step 5: Printing of Allotment Letter- If a candidate accepts a seat, he/she must take a printout of the final allotment letter cum money receipt. However, if he/she opts for auto upgradation, the printout of the provisional allotment letter cum money receipt will have to be taken instead.
Step 6: Payment of Provisional or Final Seat Booking Fee- If a candidate accepts the allotted seat, he or she has to pay a final seat booking fee of Rs. 500 through debit card/credit card /net banking/UPI. In case of auto upgradation, a provisional seat booking fee of Rs. 2000 has to be paid by him/her through debit card / credit card / net banking / UPI.
Step 7: Reporting & Document Verification- Finally, candidates who will accept their allotted seats have to report to the allotted institute with two copies of the final allotment letter cum money receipt and all original documents for the process of verification.
Note that candidates who opt for auto upgradation will not have to report to the institute and wait for the next rounds of counselling.
Candidates reporting to the allotted institutes have to carry the required documents for verification. Below is the list of documents.
Admit Card of Madhyamik or equivalent exam as proof of age and determining district of schooling (if the candidate is allotted a district quota seat).
Mark sheet of the qualifying exam
Reservation certificate
Two copies of the printout of Allotment Letter cum Money Receipt
Medical fitness certificate
PwD certificate (if applicable)
To check the tuition fees of colleges
The authorities will conduct the special JEXPO counselling to fill up those vacant seats of Government / Government Sponsored Polytechnics by reopening of application panel for the candidates who registered earlier but could not take part in the counselling due to different reasons or could not take admission due to submission of wrong information, by providing them an opportunity for correction of earlier submitted information and take part in the counselling process for admission in the remaining vacant seats of 1st year of Diploma Courses.
Candidates who have already taken admission to any polytechnic through recently concluded online counselling are not eligible for this Special Online Counselling.
The following categories of candidates are allowed to take part in the aforesaid Special Online Counselling:
Only one round of JEXPO special counselling will be conducted and no auto upgradation option will be there i.e. the merit-listed candidates will be allotted seats finally according to their rank.

Eligibility criteria for Polytechnic in india is-
A 10th grade passout from any recognised board can apply (from any state)
Students with a 12th grade diploma are also welcome to apply.
If they studied Science and Math in the 12th, 12th pass students can enrol straight through lateral entrance in the second year.
Different states have Difference polytechnic exams it'll be easier for me if you provide me with the state name as well. The average packages range from 3 lakhs to 5 lakhs however the highest package scaled up to 12 lakhs
