  • Create a Well Planned Schedule – One of the first things that the candidates should complete is to create a schedule. The prepared schedule should be divided well. Study of subjects and topics should be planned in such a manner that it does not feel monotonous. Breaks should also be provided in between to help the candidates refresh their minds.

  • Be Familiar with the Syllabus – It is important for the candidates to be familiar with the official syllabus of Electronics and Communication Engineering for GATE 2020. If the candidates know the syllabus well, then they will be able to accordingly plan their studies since they will be aware of which topics are likely to come.

  • Make Sure to Attempt Mock Test & Sample Papers – One of the most important and effective ways of preparing for the examination is to attempt GATE mock tests and sample papers. Through the mock tests and sample papers, the candidates will be able to practically apply the theories while also learning from their mistakes. Time management can also be learned.

  • Refer to the Best Books – For the preparation, the most recommended and popular books should be referred. Through the different books, the candidates can compile and study for the examination comfortably since all the material will be with them.

  • Take Small Breaks in Between – It is important to take the much-needed breaks in between. A stressed mind will not have the capacity to learn new concepts. Go for walk, listen to music, play with friends or anything, but take a break. Sleep and taking care of the health is also equally important.

Hello dear aspirant,

If  one scores 400 in gate examination then his marks will be around 28.33 out of 100 marks in the paper.
Hope this helps.

im preparing GATE 2020 EE since last half month , i almost complete my 2 subject in next 2 days. i am belong to Gen catagory. sometimes i felt i should join Any IT companies , may be i am inclined towards software. should i join or continue to my gate preparation? i quit my GAT post after 5 months

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 11th Dec, 2019

see gate is a really a difficult exam, and if you dont have real interest in it you can not crack it, and it may be really difficult to do job in IT sector and continue preparing for gate. however some students make it possible, but right now less than 2 month left, and now joining in IT sector is not a good option and you may not get any job right now, because a job hunting is not easy. exam will be on february, do your best and if you think that you can not do any better next time, then search for IT job after the gate exam.

Scope for ECE students through gate examination???

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 11th Dec, 2019
see after clearing gate exam you do have 2 options. you can go for higher studies in reputed colleges of India like iiits, iits, nits even you can go for foreign universities like nangyang university Singapore. other option you do have which is PSU. ecil, DRDO, barc, coal India, bel this organization recruits electronics engineer through gate score, however the number of vacancy is really less compare to electrical engineering. you need to have rank within 200 to get cal from PSU.
hope you may understand
