Candidates who qualify the GATE exam can participate in the counselling process for M.Tech admission. For admission to the IITs, candidates have to register on the official website of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and then on the COAP portal. The GATE cutoff is the minimum score needed to qualify for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam.
The minimum GATE score is 650 out of 1000, which is approximately equivalent to 65 out of 100 marks in the GATE Computer Science Engineering (CSE) exam.
For Mathematics (MA), the cut-off is 22.5; for Mechanical Engineering (ME), it is 25.7; for Mining Engineering (MN), it is 22.5; and for Metallurgical Engineering (MT), the cut-off is 36.9 for candidates belonging to the OBC-NCL/EWS category.
