You are not having good chances as the last year's cutoffs for all branches was 50000. The rank above this is very unlikely to get admission.

VIT does not release VITEEE 2018 cutoff in the form of marks but releases it in the form of closing ranks. These closing ranks of the candidates in VITEEE becomes the cutoff of VITEEE. Candidates are required to score the cutoff of VITEEE 2018 to be eligible for admission to the various B.Tech programmes at VIT. Candidates can avail the VITEEE 2018 cutoff as soon as VIT announces the same. However, they can check VITEEE cutoff for previous years.

You have very less chances of getting any branch in VIT Vellore and VIT chennai campus.

However, you have decent chances of getting admission in your preferred branches in VIT Amrawati and VIT Bhopal campus.

if you are particular about the VITEE and if you are more particular about with amins branches then you should go with management quota or if you are not particular about campus then your son can get in to BHOPAL and Amaravathi campus
