A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in consecutive years.Originally every candidate has a maximum of three attempts for JEE Main. Candidates can appear twice for the entrance test in a year. So this is used in correlation with the original number of attempts,

The cut offs vary every year depending on the difficulty level of the questions.
Mostly you must get a rank below 10 K to get the best colleges.

Technically you are allowed 3 consecutive attempts at JEE Mains and 2 consecutive attempts at JEE Advanced. If you have taken first attempt at JEE Mains this year then you can give JEE Mains in 2021 and if you didn't take JEE Advanced this year you should have

This is only possible if you haven't given JEE Mains not more than twice and since this is not very likely that you can give the exam more than three times in two years you are eligible to write your Jee

According to Maharashtra board:-The minimum marks in Class XII Board required for a student to apply for IIT (Advanced) are; 386 for general category,348 for OBC,343 for SC and 341 for ST.If you don't belong to genei candidate than you are free to give jee in 2020.
