Yes, you will still be eligible to write both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced , as long as you meet the eligibility criteria.
Eligibility for jee mains:
To appear for JEE Mains, you need to have passed your 12th board exams (or equivalent) with Physics, Mathematics, and one additional subject (like Chemistry, Biology, or a vocational subject).
Failing in one subject in 11th grade won't directly affect your eligibility for JEE Mains as long as you pass 12th grade with the required subjects.
Eligibility for jee advanced:
For JEE Advanced, you must be among the top performers in JEE Mains and pass 12th board exams.
Even if you clear the failed subject in a supplementary or improvement exam, you’ll be considered eligible for JEE Advanced, provided you pass all subjects required for your board’s 12th qualification in the same academic year.
hope you get it and find it useful
Hello Aspirant,
Yes, you will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advance even if you have a repeat exam. But you will be able to appear for the exam only when you have cleared the compartment exam/exams and have 75% above aggregate in 12th. The 75% and above percentage is a compulsion for every student of General and OBC student, only for SC/ST students, it is 65% and above.
Make sure you have passed all the exams and cross 75% in 2025 in the 12th Board examination in order to appear for JEE Advance.
Hope this helps
No, unfortunately, you cannot appear for JEE Advanced in 2025 since you passed your 12th board exams in 2023. As per the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced, a candidate can attempt the exam only twice in consecutive years after passing the 12th board.
Since you didn’t appear for JEE Advanced in 2023, 2024 is your last chance to give the exam.
Look into top NITs, IIITs, or IISc Bangalore , which also offer excellent programs.
You have alternative Routes like to explore IIT admission through interdisciplinary programs (like IIT Hyderabad’s BDes or other non-core branches).
Hope you get it and find it useful
Best wishes.
