Students who have passed (10+2) level with science stream in 2017 or 2018 with marks equal or above the cut off percentage in their respective boards as given in the table below are eligible to apply. For the candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer of the Other Backward Classes (OBCNC) and Persons with Disability (PD) categories, there is a 5% relaxation. The cut-off percentage for the Scheduled Castes (SC), the Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Kashmiri Migrants (KM) candidates is 55% in (10+2) level for all boards.
Students applying through SCB channel will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test which will be conducted at various centres across the country. To calculate your percentage of marks obtained, use the percentage calculation method adopted by your board.
The cut-off percentage for different boards for this years admission will come up shortly.
Hey Sahanawaz.
IISER Bhopal offers an Integrated PhD programme in which there is amalgamation of two years masters and 5 yrs PhD in a total of 6 years.
However, this course is offered an MS exit option meaning a student can opt out of Int PhD programme after receiving masters after 2 years.
JAM is required for entry into Int PhD programme. Other details can be obtained on https://www.iiserb.ac.in/doaa#iphd
Hope this helps. All the best.
Hi Raj! IISERs have an integrated PhD programme for the students who aspire to pursue master's and PhD from IISER and have completed their undergraduate degree from elsewhere. The applications are invited once an year in the month of april and the notifications and guidelines are laid down on their website. You can try applying there, you may get an admission if you have excellent grades.
Another way of getting into IISERs for the 5-year BS-MS program is through three chaneels namely- KVPY, JEE, SCB. Again your grades and performance will solely decide your admission.
Hello Laxman Sindhi. Thanks for contacting Careers360 and we hope we will be able to answer your query.
According to me, there is no fixed syllabus for the IISER aptitude test. It is of higher level than JEE Mains but a little lower than Advanced, speaking from my experience.
I would like to direct your attention to these Quora questions for more information:
Also I hope this will help you:
All the best!
HI Prathmesh
No it is not like that the official notification states that one can attain admission in IISER through three possible channels and those three channels are as follows
KVPY
JEE test
SCB
if you have appeared in jee mains there is no such requirement to have a KVPY scorecard for the admission
for further details, you can check the link below

Hi Dear, IISER is the topmost government college for education and research and its affiliated with MHRD.there are three ways to get admission on IISER -
1.KVPY 2.JEE 3.SCB(12th)(Aptitude test)
so prepare any exam.
if you want other information then check it out given link:https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/iiser-admissions
good luck
In my openion LISER is better option as you get 2 yrs time for Msc project and only 1year time in NISER.As you need some time to accomadate in the lab and undrstand the project completly. And if you take seriously then you can easily able to publish some paper in 2 years time. You can also eligible for direct interview in BARC if your CGPA is 7.5 or more.
dear dimple galla
if you want to take admission in iiser tirupati you can go through jee mains or ipe or other competitive exams
hope you understand and good way
all the best and thank you
