IISER admission can be done through KVPY score...but both admission starts on may 2019 and July 2019 respectively.then how it possible?

Suyash 15th Mar, 2019

Dear Sudheer, First you have to register in any one of the three channels- KVPY, SCB and JEE.Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) – Candidates will be offered admission on the basis of valid KVPY fellowship. The State or Central Board Channel(SCB) students will have to appear in aptitude test.Joint Entrance Examination of Indian Institutes of Technology (JEE) channel – Candidates with valid JEE Advanced 2019 scores are eligible for direct admission.

So when the admission portal opens it will ask you to choose your channel ,if you choose KVPY channel then at the time of counceling your KVPY marks will be considered for admission. The counceling start between june and july.

Can I directly write exam without appearing jee (mains)

Srikanth Ganna 27th Jan, 2019
Hello ..
  • If you want to get an admission in IISER in 2019 the admission process will be taken through three channels. They are :
  • 1.KVPY
  • 2.SCB
  • 3.JEE
If you want to get admission through JEE and KVPY you can get the admission directly but if you want to get the admission through SCB you should write an aptitude test.
If you are KVPY(Kishore vaigyanik protsahan Yojana) valid fellowship you will get direct admission.
So if you are not a KVPY fellowship you can go for SCB

For this application form bio is cumpalsury in 11&12th class

Ronita Debnath 31st Jan, 2019

For IISER Admission, they conduct the admission in three channels:-

a)KVPY

b)SCB

c)JEE

Now if you opt for the SCB Channel, they have questions from 4 sets Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. So if you have Biology in your 11th and 12th,that would be a plus point for you.For further details and to know more about the eligibility criteria please follow the link:-
