IISER generally accepts a rank below 5000 for reserved category students. It has gone up till 10000, but below 5000 scores is considered to be a high chance. So, you might be getting a call from IISER.
Your chances of getting a call from NIT is also high, but not from all NITs.

IISERs provide an integrated M.Sc AND PhD in the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry,Mathematics and Biology. Dear Tabaan, when you say you are studying Integrated B.Sc Biotechnology course, isnt it a 5 year B.Sc+M.Sc course? And once you are done with B.Sc, you want to study M.Sc in IISER? We are afraid it doesnt work that way. The Integrated course is for 5 years and you are awarded your degree and certificates of course completion post the course which is 5 years. But please check with your Institution if they offer degree certificates post the completion of B.Sc. If yes, you may as well give it a try.

Dear Sudheer, First you have to register in any one of the three channels- KVPY, SCB and JEE.Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) – Candidates will be offered admission on the basis of valid KVPY fellowship.The State or Central Board Channel(SCB) students will have to appear in aptitude test.Joint Entrance Examination of Indian Institutes of Technology (JEE) channel – Candidates with valid JEE Advanced 2019 scores are eligible for direct admission.
So when the admission portal opens it will ask you to choose your channel ,if you choose KVPY channel then at the time of counceling your KVPY marks will be considered for admission.The counceling start between june and july.

Yes, you will require to score a minimum specified percentage for any board(state/CBSE) to apply for IISER even through KVPY channel. The cutoff percentage shall be updated on the official website in due time.
