    As you have got a very good rank.With this rank you can apply for any college which you want and you can get good college as per your rank. You can a good state level government college,any NIT college or any IIT college if you want. so you should apply for IIT and IIT also because there are many chances to get that college also and you can apply for all the branches in which you are interested.

    Hello Pranju!

    It will be tough to get a government college if the trend is not like last year but like earlier times of ASSAM CEE. You may have to wait till the end of process to determine whether you are getting a seat or not as the cutoff varies by a good margin every year.

    Hope you are doing well!! As ASTU have released the merit list and the counseling process will start from 10th of june and according to the merit list you are eligible for the counseling. But your rank is bit high but then also you are eligible for 1st phase of counseling, if there remains any free seat then you can get a government college under CEE.     Yes with your mentioned rank you may get admission in AEC/JEC or any other college provided that you are from SC category and the mentioned rank is your general rank. I'll suggest you to stay flexible with your choices regarding branch and choose wisely.

    Assam CEE cutoff is determined on various number of factors like the number of seats available, number of applicants, difficulty levels of entrance test and previous year cutoff trends. 


    Every course and branch has different cutoff rank. You need to specify the course you want to pursue for getting an accurate prediction. Though you have a fair rank, but it completely goes on the course you choose.

    As per your rank you secured a good rank and as you have said you belong to OBC category, on that rank you can get a government college, most probably you will get Jorhat engineering college (JEC) or Joehat Institute of science and technology (JIST). Hope you get a good college.
